This is a great tent site! We had four deer visit our site when we arrived. We had plenty of privacy from both adjacent sites. Hosts drove through in the morning and were very friendly. Bathrooms were spotless! Be careful of cattle in the road driving up the mountain.

Great spot in the desert for a colder night and shadow. We enjoyed our night a lot.

We held our wedding in the clearing and it was the most beautiful setting that a girl could ever ask for!

The campsite is better than what the pictures show. I was worried it would be narrow but theres lots of space. There are only food storage lockers in the group campsite so youll have to consider taking your own bear proof storage or leave food in the car. We didnt encounter any bears luckily, but we did see lots of deer around our site at night. The vault toilets were surprisingly the cleanest and best smelling Ive experienced. Bring your own TP as they dont refill it often throughout the day. It was easy to locate and youre surrounded by so many trees. I loved hearing the wind approaching because the trees will rustle. We had our privacy, but also encountered lots of friendly people here. Im honestly so surprised at how well kept the campground is.

Nice campground among the aspen trees with a Meadow in the middle of the loop. Lots of wildlife. We saw deers, wild turky and some cows.

Very quiet, pretty campground, near Monticello, UT. Lots of aspen. Most campers were in tents. We had a 30' travel trailer and it was impossible to back into our spot going the right way on the campground loop. Also, the spot was quite short and had a big aspen tree directly behind it. We had to unhitch the trailer to avoid blocking the road. It did not rain while we were there, but there was a runoff area right behind our camp site. Also, though we had crossed a cattle guard on the way in, there were cattle wandering through. At least it was high enough in altitude to be much cooler than Monticello.The campground was clean, had a nice fire ring and picnic table. It was nicely shaded.

Absolutely beautiful campground! Honestly one of my favorites I’ve visited. There were deer that passed through and grazed the field every day. The stream was serene; the trees incredible. I would definitely come back. The pit toilet was also pretty clean. There’s a lake nearby too! You can’t get better than this.

Spend several days on site 6 and enjoyed being in the large aspen trees. Lots of deer in the area. Nice and cool in the evening and night.

We had a lovely time at Buckboard. I would have given the campsite a 5 start rating except for the fact that they only have trash picked up once per week and do not have a camp host on site. We did not see our camp host until the morning we were checking out. She was quite helpful and friendly. There was a group that had camped there for a few days and they filled the one trash bin, so all other trash was going outside. The campsite has deer and possibly bears, raccoons and other wildlife. The vault toilet we used was clean (there were 2, we steered cleared from the vault toilet the group used 😅). Our site was perfect, except for the fact that our tent pad was on a slope but we were in a forest. There are a tremendous amount of bugs, of all types, including ticks, so be prepared for that. The campsite is in high elevations so be prepared to be a little winded and HYDRATE. Altitude sickness is a possibility here if you don't hydrate. The location can't be beat, we would definitely stay again.

Never saw camp host - toilets were not cleaned and ran out of toilet paper 3 days into our stay. The camp itself was shaded and out spot was fairly level.

Incredible setting in aspens with clean bathrooms. We find that we are enjoying smaller campgrounds like this that has minimum amenities for the RV folk. Get tired of listening to generators all day and nite.

We typically enjoy camping in National Forests and Buckboard had decent facilities. Though it seemed like somewhere teens from town fled to. The beautiful aspen trees had a lot of graffiti etched into them, which was sad to see. The campsites were a decent size, but we’ll plan farther in advance and stay in Canyonlands NP.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
