Camp hosts were amazing

This review is likely due to poor planning and research on my part. Upon arriving at this location my party was surprised to discover the camping spot was gravel. We had prepared based on other camping areas we had done, grassy or dirt areas. We did not have nearly enough padding. If you go to camp in a tent be sure to have some kind of air mattress and padding. We had planned on staying 2 nights, after night one we had to leave because of how little sleep we got due to being uncomfortable. The restroom facilities were quite clean and nice. Locating them just past the RV drain dump is a terrible idea. The smell was sickening and you had to pass it to get to the restroom facilities. Overall I would not recommend this spot for tent camping.

We were in site 19 which is a large site and has a good view of the lake. I didn't like how grown up the bank of the lake was. It was nearly impossible to walk down to the lake from this site without walking through a ton of poison ivy. The debris on the banks was very bad, lots of trash. The shower house is nice and clean and the water is always warm.

Beautiful and clean tent site! Very quiet area, the play area is for smaller kiddos. There is currently no spillway/beach area the water is up too high, still able to swim tho. Cons, long walk to bathhouse with stairs. Not a lot of grassy area for pets.

We were in site 04 which looks right over the lake. It rained the whole week but we were able to go fishing at least one day. Hosts are friendly and it is a clean park. Our most favorite

As a solo female camper, this campground is the best. The hosts were great for picking out the best site for me and I felt perfectly safe all weekend.

Even though the lake was low it was a nice view. Bathrooms were clean and tidy. We hit the peak fall foliage and trees were beautiful!

My husband and I tent camped for 3 nights in October 2023. The host/hostess were amazing. They called before our arrival and assisted us with finding the most suitable site. They also showed us to our site when we arrived. Customer service was excellent. This is a beautiful and well maintained campground in a lovely setting with plenty to do in the area. We enjoyed our stay and plan to return in the spring.

This place is awesome!! I can't wait to go back! The park "hosts" are great. They are pleasant, understanding and more than willing to help you. Situated not far from The Natural Arch in DBNF or Cumberland Falls(both are must sees!). The campground itself is well maintained and the location is perfect, right on a quiet lake that has fishing opportunities galore. It's nice and quiet, bathrooms are super clean and the sites are space out well. There are only 35 sites so make sure to get your reservations in early during the summer months. I am DEFINITELY going back in the spring and fall.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
