Canal Campground, Grand Rivers, KY

Canal Campground in Livingston county is located 36 min east of Paducah, KY with an elevation of 379 feet. There are a total of 115 campsites. The campground is normally open from the end of March to the end of October. 106 sites can accommodate RVs between 20 and 99 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring with grill. 28 sites have electric and water hookups. 87 sites have electric hookups. Fees range from $18.00 to $240.00. Some amenities include shower, dump station, boat ramp, swimming, restroom, trash dumpster, flush toilets. Activities include boating, fishing, hiking trails, floating sports.

We just started camping last year. This fall was our forth time to camp at Canal campgrounds. I love it there. Very peaceful and everyone is so friendly. I just wished we had bought our camper years ago. My husband said these have been the best vacations he had took.

We stayed at Canal Campground for a full week and absolutely enjoyed everything about it. The grounds are so well kept up, the restrooms are cleaned and restocked daily, and the campground staff were so friendly. The fall colors were so beautiful. Also, the quaint nearby town of Grand Rivers has groceries, firewood, restaurants and everything we needed. We certainly will be returning.

I love camping at the canal! It is a wonderful camp ground. The people at the gatehouse are always so nice and helpful! There is one lady that appears confused and does not seem to know what she is doing most of the time. She is very nice, just not sure she is well. If I had suggestions it would be to keep the bathrooms cleaner. I do not have a shower in my camper so I use the bathhouse showers and they are not very clean. The primitive area is a beautiful part of the campground but needs so much attention! Some of the spots the lot and drive and washing away and it is not safe to try to back a camper on them. It would be GREAT if it was taken care. That would be my favorite part of the campground if it were up to par! Again, I love camping at the canal.

This was a clean quiet camp grounds. The sites are large and paved. The bath house had hot water and good pressure. We enjoyed our stay and will be back.

Very nice site. The sites are a bit close but not a huge deal. Bathrooms are very close to this site and were pretty clean. The showers arent very private though. Theyre in the bathroom and anyone can come in. The shower is in a stall like a toilet. Clean campground and very nice people.

The couple at the gate were very helpful! Site 015 did NOT work out for us though! It was washed out and so unlevel that we had to go to another campground.

Site 92 is difficult to get a longer trailer in to. Its down a pretty big hill too. Had to have the truck in 4 wheel drive. Once we got the trailer parked we had a nice time. The site has a nice water view. The bathroom was just ok.

We had never stayed at this park but found it was a convenient midway point between our TN and Missouri travels in September. The park is really a pretty park with the canal on the one end and Barkley Lake taking up the view for the most part. Spaces were wide and long and very accessible from the road. We had space 36 for 2 nights. It met our needs just perfectly. This is a park that is great for golf carts and bikes. We rode our E bikes all over the park. We will be back!

Site 108 is a pull through that is basically a large paved lot with about 8 sites. Good view of the water with a pavilion.

Nice place great sites. The bathroom was clean but I had to look closer at the floor because I swear it was moving. There was a million ants on the floor and that many more trying to come in the door. I'm not sure why they can't spray or do something to get rid of them. We will go back.

We arrived late and found an empty spot and reserved it on gov. But is was nasty! We found another empty spot and moved. But we love the canal campground! Just had a very dirty site one time of 3. Pretty good odds ;)

Great park overall. Sites could be more level & paved. Ours was full hook ups but only about 8 are so it would be nice to have more available. Our site was close to level but still needed blocks. The extra table was nice. Host was cleaning leaves off road & bathrooms cleaned daily. Laundry was a bonus.
