Moutardier Campground, Leitchfield, KY

Moutardier Campground in Grayson county is located 53 min northeast of Bowling Green, KY with an elevation of 637 feet. There are a total of 164 campsites. The campground is normally open from the beginning of May to mid October. 163 sites can accommodate RVs between 30 and 100 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring with grill. 105 sites have electric and water hookups. Fees range from $18.00 to $32.00. Some amenities include shower, dump station, playground, boat ramp, restroom, trash dumpster, amphitheater, flush toilets. Activities include boating, fishing, floating sports.

Beautiful park, well planned facilities. We were in the B section which has a slight hump to the pull through sites. This made it easy for leveling our motor home. The only issue was the location of the picnic table and fire ring not in the same place has the water and electric hookup.

The site (D-04) and campground was well maintained and everything functioned as it should. The bath house was clean. Cell service (T-Mobile) was poor. The site was long enough to easily accommodate a 26 foot motorhome and additional SUV.

Very nice people working there. Campground was clean and very quiet at night. Sites were large and easy to access. Overall we will return and we recommend this campground if want to visit Mammoth Cave Kentucky and all of the other sites that are near by.

The sites are a little tight but the areas around them are very spacious. We were in A59 and had a beautiful view of the lake. We walked the whole campsite and its quite large. Good walking and places to walk the pups. We really enjoyed it here! We will absolutely be back. I wish they stayed open longer than October 20th. The bathhouses are also very clean. The camp volunteers were very friendly. Wed gone swimming in the lake and left our little girls bike at the top of the hill at a campsite on C where no one was. She was driving around and made sure someone was with her. She just wanted to be sure she hadnt gotten away from us and gotten in the lake by herself. It was very kind!

All was perfect, made for an excellent weekend. Site was exactly as described and well maintained. Ran into the volunteer's in charge while walking one morning, they were very friendly and helpful. Love it here!

Site was overly sloped for a pull through. It was jammed against next site with their water and electric on our site. Their slide out was hanging over our site. THIS Should not be a site!

Great location, great view of the lake. Very windy and rainy while we were there. Had a dead limb fall on truck hood. Campgrounds are getting old. Be careful where you parked.

Spend the weekend for the first time. Sites were good, a little small, but ok. The campground was very clean, good boat ramp and plenty of parking for the trailer. The lake was amazing !! Marina was great. Has a take out restaurant. You can actually order from the boat and pick up at the marina. Will definitely be back!!

It seemed to be a very nice well kept campground with the exception of the shower house. It was usable but could use a good cleaning. Our site was pretty level with a view of the water. It's nice that the sites are terraced so even with there being a few rows of sites below us we still had a nice view.

Moutardier is our favorite campground! It is well kept and clean. Everyone is very friendly and we always enjoy our stay here.

Our campsite at site 42, right by the water, had no trees for shade, so it was hot all day and night. During our stay, there was heavy dew and a lot of bugs in the evening, which made things a bit uncomfortable. On the plus side, the bathrooms were clean, and the showers were nice and refreshing.

We loved it. The only thing we wished was that the spot we picked had a grassy area. But the view we had made up for that I think. It was a great place but there wasnt a campground host. But everything went great.

If you have a large motorhome with slides, make sure you look at the pictures of the site and do not just go by the length they advertise. These sites are narrow. Our fire pit ended up under our awning no way to build a fire for five nights this campground needs Upgraded! The sites are too narrow for modern campers. Im not saying all of them are but the majority. Also, they really need to do away with some of their tent sites and add water and electric to them. They are losing lots of money.

Overall we liked the campground, but the site was set up very strangely. Number A29 is a pull-through site and shares a portion of its driveway with site A47. There is very little "living space" for site 29. In fact, we had issues putting up our sun shade without hitting the trailer next to us. As for the space that comes with site 29, we only had 13 feet between our camper and the boarder of the site. Site A47 is the better site because there is no camper blocking its view like there is for A29. Access to the lake for our kayaks was reasonably easy, but the constant boat traffic causes large wakes that are less than pleasant to deal with. We might come back to this campground in the future, but definitely not this site.

Grass was extremely tall . Campers in my section were extremely loud and rowdy way past quiet hours on the weekend , there was no patrol of park ranger or local police to enforce the quiet time !! Restrooms were not clean and toilet paper was not always available , restrooms could use an update ! The prices have been raised but there is no improvement of services ! There is no way of immediately contacting park ranger or campground attendant or host to enforce the quiet times !!!
