B-19. Wonderful spacious site. Volunteer staff rode by several times a day to check on us. Site was clean, shower house was immaculate.

Wax is a beautiful campground with nice shady lots. The bathrooms and shower stalls are always nice and clean. Its one of our favorite campgrounds on Nolin.

Beautiful campground, the lake is gorgeous! There wasn't anyone here to check in with the whole time i stayed, so if you have questions when you get here, there won't be anyone available to help. You can hear the road from your site if you are in A or C, but it wasn't too bad at the campsite I stayed at in A. Their bathrooms were decent. However, the showers could use some upgrading. I have Tmobile and had absolutely no connection the whole time I was there. My hotspot router also couldn't get connected, which made it a little hard when looking for nearby things or using your map on your phone. There isn't a laundry facility there, I'm not sure why it says it does on here. There is a boat ramp right outside the campground, and the campground had an extra area for people to put their boats, which I thought was pretty cool. Water and electric worked fine. They had some pretty decent size spots for all different size rigs. There was a playground for the kiddos. I'd def come back here again.

Nice and spacious campsite. We went on a summer weekday and almost have the entire loop B to ourselves. I took one star off because the I encountered a surprise in womans bathroom, someone did their business but didnt plush. Erhhh, why?

Large coarse gravel campsites. A finer gravel would have been nicer to walk around on. All open fields or open under trees, little privacy, but nicely spaced. Roads are steep in places. Electric and water worked fine, nice large dual dump stations. Can be a workout to reach bathhouses. 24/7 Honor veggie/home canned jelly station, excellent idea. Highway from Munfordville is a twisting, narrow, insane road. Lots of tailgating drivers impatient with necessary RV speeds. Also have to watch for Amish horse and buggy drivers and pedestrians on hills or curves or both. Not the safest road to Wax.

We love Wax and always spend a few days there each summer! Our favorite spot it A11! This year we saw quite a hit of poison ivy and the grass was needing to be cut, but we still had a great trip!

We have been coming to WAX for years. 4th of July weekend was the worst we have experienced. Park Rangers were overbearing all weekend and rude when there was nothing that needed attention. We understand they are there to make sure people are following the rules and safe. It was 7:30 in the evening; still daylight outside; and we were celebrating our Independence at our site laughing and talking amongst friends. We werent doing anything out of the ordinary besides having some fun and talking. Our group had 7 sites reserved so we were together for a few hours at one site. The Park Rangers came up to us and said we were imposing on others and they were very disrespectful. It was not quiet time and the fireworks that went off an hour later were much louder than we were. We asked our camping neighbors if we were bothering them or loud and they said they couldnt even hear us and we were absolutely not bothering them. We always Abide by the quiet time rules most likely because we are old and go to bed early anyway. It is not necessary to get on people for talking and laughing outside before quiet time. Also, the shoreline around A was a mess. I know it had rained and all the debris comes up on the shore but we pay our taxes and pay for our site. It wouldnt hurt to clean it up a bit especially on a busy holiday weekend. I never complain and Im never negative but come on. Let people have a little fun when they are bothering anyone and are being safe. And clean the campground up some.

Well kept campsites located right across from the marina. Easy check in and plenty for the kids to do. Only deducted one star due to cleanliness of the restrooms.

Always liked Wax Campground. Do need to do a better job at mowing grass!

Wax is always a great time. The only negative I can think of is the grass was pretty long. The dogs had a hard time. Simple issue and would not keep me from coming back. We love WAX!!!
@TomD9914097 · Camped on May 22, 2024 at Campsite #B10
I had site B010. The site is good but I scratched up the side if my camper backing into the site due to the Cedar Trees hanging out in the driveway. These need to be trimmed back out so they do Not interfere with the RVs moving in and out. The trees along the Road inside the Campground also need to be trimmed back as they drag down the side of the coming through the Campground.

Was great! Only thing I hated was the amount of ticks we got off us lol

Love the camp ground. Only thing I would like to see improved is a better play area for the kids in section C

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
