Laurel Branch Campground in Breckinridge county is located 49 min west of Elizabethtown, KY with an elevation of 563 feet. There are a total of 61 campsites. The campground is normally open from the beginning of May to the end of October. Sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 30 and 82 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. 47 sites have electric and water hookups. 1 site has electric hookups. 1 site has water hookups. Fees range from $18.00 to $56.00. Some amenities include wifi, playground, swimming. Activities include boating, fishing, floating sports.

Love the campsite...but wish that the quiet time would be enforced. There was a group of people in the campsite behind us BLARING music loudly, while talking and yelling until 1:00 a.m. Ruined my relaxing camping experience.

Great people to work with. Great views of the lake. Loved our campsite except it could have been more level. A lot of space between campsites for privacy Boat ramp is steep for those who pull their pontoon behind their C Class RV.

Well kept campground with a beautiful view. We stayed near the boat ramp to easily insert our kayaks. I will mention that my parents are old school, and do not own cell phones. They did not have a reservation because they thought they could pay at the booth. They no longer do this. Luckily, I have a cell and reserved our spot. Will definitely return.

The nature trail has gone to crap, all the placards identifying trees, flowers, hominy holes etc are in disrepair, when you get to the exit end there is a huge tree that has been placed there from site 15, my grandkids grew up playing there many years ago, I would be ashamed to take them thru it again

We do an anual campout with friends and family here every august. The campground is one of our favorites. However, when we arrived, the fire pit of all of our 12 sites was full to the brim with trash for the previous campers. I understand that the blame falls on the inconsiderate campers who occupied the sites before us but that begs the questions; What is the reason for the 2 hour gap between check-in and check-out times? It seems the camphosts arent doing anything to ready the sites for the next occupants. Twice over the weekend the pit toilets ran out of toilet paper. Leaving many campers stranded. All this being said, the new camp host was very kind and welcoming. Regardless of my complaints, we will be back next year armed with double-ply toilet paper. FYI: We left our campsites CLEANER than we found them. Thanks for your consideration.

Everything seemed fine however our campsite I dont think had been cleaned or serviced. There was literally hundreds of cigarette butts all over the campsite. fire pit had 7 beer cans in it. My Wife and I tried to pickup as many butts as we could however there was just way too many. The Host was super friendly and nice.

Everything was great except there are no trash cans in the bathrooms in the main parking lot at the top of the hill. I had to take my trash to the dumpster to dispose of it.

Grass was very high when we got there and we was there for two weeks. It wasnt mowed until two days before we left. It was up to our knees. Also the spots need more rock and leveled out to keep water from standing in them. Hopefully this gets better soon.

Beautiful campgrounds. Our spot was the best this year with lots of shade. It was hot, so the shade was a must! The only thing I would change was the bathrooms closest to the beach. Someone made a huge mess in one of them and it was never cleaned up. I understand it was a busy week, with lots of campers, but it was pretty nasty. Otherwise I wouldnt change a thing! We wont let this prevent us from coming back. People (campers) need to be more considerate of others and the facility.

We reserved site C40 6 months before our planned trip. Our extended weekend in June turned out to be very very hot. This site has absolutely no shade....at all. Photos on the web/app show a tree at corner of site but that tree is gone. Your camper is just a few feet from the camp road....we had no small children or pets but be warned of this. Behind you is beautiful Rough River just steps away though....thankfully. Also, keep in mind your camper faces the road...not the lake.

The site did not have a waterfront view and to look at the lake one has to view the adjacent site. It was also hot.

Our last visit was disappointing. Lots of folks were occupying campsites they had not reserved or paid for. A family moved onto a site next to ours and that camp site did not have electricity or water. That same family connected several electrical cords together and dragged those cords over to our site and plugged into the electrical box that our RV was plugged into. That family did not ask us if this was ok. It was not right and we decided rather than having any confrontations, we left for home even though we had already paid for another night's stay. In addition, many sites were left with lots of trash on the ground. We had to pick up trash when we arrived at our site. We have camped at Laurel many times and love it, but the campground has definitely gone downhill and that is sad.

Easy access into the campground. Staff was Helpful and friendly. Some of the spots are very close to Each other while others were nicely spaced apart. Swim Beach and boat ramp at the end of the campground, which was very busy at times.

Where was the staff? Did not see any staff. Park was open 24 hours. Just before turning in for the night someone had placed the park pass on the picnic table - don't know who or when. Some sites were close together. Don't believe we will return to this park.

Very good camping area for a quite, relax and enjoyable view of the Lake. Friendly gate keeper and camping neighbors who help make it an enjoyable, particularly the gate keeper who goes out of her way to help campers to make it an camping experience.
