Cave Creek Campground in Breckinridge county is located 52 min west of Elizabethtown, KY with an elevation of 591 feet. There are a total of 63 campsites. The campground is normally open from mid May to the beginning of September. 58 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 26 and 125 feet. All sites are currently reservable. 46 sites have electric and water hookups. 1 site has electric hookups. Fees range from $18.00 to $56.00.

Great campground to camp at very peaceful, we have been camping there for over 5 years now.Would just like to add we are very disappointed that they are opening later in the year and also closing for the month of September and only staying open for the few days in October! Its dropped the camping time down by half which those months are also the best months to camp the ones they took off they have the kind of weather campers enjoy! Also just want to add that the volunteer hosts are amazing and they go above and beyond to make you feel welcome!! Hopefully they will listen to campers and open back up for those months.

Nice clean campground. Nice views of the lake. Bathrooms were clean which is not the case at other campgrounds at Rough.

We love cave creek, we have handicap children and this is the best place for us to camp with them. I hope that they rethink opening back up September and beginning of October, these are the best months to camp with the kids !!

We had a wonderful stay at Cave Creek. The hosts were fabulous. Every campground should have hosts like them. The campgrounds and facilities were immaculate. We will definitely return.

Our site was great! Our neighbors was high and chopping trees with a machete! Cussing very loudly. Park Rangers were called, they came out and nothing changed. Another camper called local law enforcement they came out and removed the issue. Turned out to be a good weekend!

This is the best campground in Grayson County. The best bathhouse. The campsites are a good size. We saw that they are closed the month of September. We are really sad about that. That is our favorite month along with October to camp. Please reconsider that for next year.

Just not the same as it was three years ago. bathrooms not as clean as last year, but ok i guess. Opening later in the season and closing early just sucks. The good is still a nice campground. Thanks

Having camped here several years have seen the most decline in upkeep and services in the past year. Seems all campgrounds at Rough River are doing this. Management seems to be a problem. Sorry to see this.

There were quite a lot of campsites, and it was a pleasant surprise to find there was also water hookup at the sights. Overall the showers at this facility didn't seem to get warm and that was a bummer but thankfully we had a trailer to use.

Campground roads are too narrow, makes parking difficult. Only one Bathroom and its far away from everything. There are no garbage cans around the campground thus a lot of trash thrown onto ground. No rules for children, kids ran wild. If pets need to be on a least then they should have a dog park.

The lot was great and we had some great neighbors too. Bathroom was clean. The only issue I had was there was no place to enter to go swimming. When camping with kids plus having hot weather you need some kind of water entrance for people that dont have boats.

We enjoyed our stay at Cave Creek. The attendants were very kind and hospitable. The site was spacious. Everything was clean. The boat ramp and courtesy dock were nice. The only complaint I have is that the shower house is not ventilated. We were there on the hottest weekend of the year so far, and were just as sweaty after our shower as we were before. However, it was clean and well maintained. Just needs more airflow. That is the only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5. We will definitely return.

The shower house was dirty the whole in entire time I was there they never got clean. The outhouse bathroom toilet was clogged the interior time I was there and never got cleaned. And the people at the desk couldn't even help me with a Reservation. They are not doing their job like they're supposed to be.
