The Narrows Campground in Barren county is located 51 min east of Bowling Green, KY with an elevation of 609 feet. There are a total of 91 campsites. The campground is normally open from mid May to mid September. 90 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 18 and 111 feet. All sites are currently reservable. 89 sites have electric and water hookups. 2 sites have electric hookups. Fees range from $28.00 to $50.00.

Our site was long enough for our 40 ft RV and held our jeep and boat for boating on the lake. It was clean. Sites could use more gravel and leveling but it was a nice experience.

We enjoyed our stay, camphost were very helpful. As in other reviews, yes the grass was long but it was mowed while we were there. It's definitely not as well manicured as other COE campgrounds we have stayed at. Our sited was sloped and it took 4 of the lego to get the front up but doable. We could see the water a bit thru the trees. There was good antenna TV and we had 2-3 bars of Verizon cell coverage. The water spigot is shared between 2 campsites so make sure to bring and extra hose. The campground was quiet and peaceful, we will be back if in the area again.

Our family was there for 2 weeks and it was never mowed. We had to get a weed eater and clean around our campsite in fear of snakes or other critters in the tall grass. The path the beach was not mowed and was knee high. The camp attendants were very rude and were curt when we told them there was no toilet paper in the restrooms. There were broken shower heads in the showers that were not repaired from last year when we camped there. Not a pleasant stay at all. Probably will not return until changes are made.

First the campsite A20 was littered Horribly, cigarette butts, trash, melted plastic, soda cans in the fire pit I literally took a garbage bag and cleaned out the fire pit before we could use it. And as I walked around, I realize it wasnt just our site. It was over 80% of the sites with the fire pits full of trash. The grass on and around our Very tall. The entire campground was very unkept, From the dumpsters to the restrooms, weve been camping here since the early 2000s and were very Disappointed to see how rundown its getting.

Grass hadnt been mowed and limbs from where water had been up was everywhere. Surely with the price of campsites going up every year landscaping could be taken care of better. It could be such a pretty park.

When we started camping 10 years ago this campground was well maintained. The last 2 years it has been less than appealing. They do not mow very often. There are weeds & knee high. When you have toddlers and the grass is too high for them to play outside it is very disappointing. We have a boat at the narrows marina, but have no desire to camp at the Narrows with the shape it is in. You would think with the rate increase & volunteers at most campground they could at least get the grass mowed. We took a weed eater with us to clear off our site

Nice campground. My site # B19 was long & fairly level. Caution many sites are sloped. Lots of grass around. Beautiful view of river. Extremely friendly hosts.

When we go to the Narrows it is always a very relaxing trip. The attendants are always very nice and helpful. Would love to see it stay open longer during the season!!!!

Have camped at this campground since 2017 and has always been a favorite of mine. I have had 3 trips here this year and probably will be my last. Host are not nice and very rude, they have their picks. They let some campers have 3 or 4 cars parked in one campsite, they let people have boats in between spots, which they used to only allow trailers to be parked in certain areas not boats. My sister had her pontoon hooked to her truck in a vacant campsite for no more than an hour and they told us to move it. That is fine but other people had theirs everywhere. Vehicles parked halfway in road, making it hard to drive on. Just very dissatisfied in this campsite. Will be finding a new favorite to go to.

The corp needs to put more care and maintenance into the campground. Weeds all over the sites, camp site boundary timbers crooked and falling apart. Some sites needing more gravel as well. Ive been coming to The Narrows for about 45 years and it seems to be getting neglected the past couple of years.
