Got there really late so it was quite dark out, however the camp is nicely lit. Had a lovely night with a sky full of stars. We were next to the river and a fog was there when we woke and disappeared as the sun went up, it exposed the beautiful campground. But be prepared for fishermen all around walking though our camp site. It was 40 mins from mammoth cave. We ended up staying a second night cause it was a nice vibe, definitely wanting to come back.

Beautiful campground, quiet and clean, wonderful hosts! Didnt understand why the water and electric was turned off so early but we can boondock with no problems.

Peaceful. Quiet. Beautiful scenery. I just wished they would leave electric and water at the campsites until mid November.

The spot was nice, next to the water but didnt get to enjoy it because Recreation.gov didnt put on the reservation site of the water and electricity being turned off! So we left! The Camp host was nice.

Zero T-Mobile coverage. Had enough cable to get starlink out from under the trees and over the hillside. The grass desperately needed cut. The bugs were in the thousands and attached themselves to the tree next to our rig. The camp hosts were so very friendly, kind and went above and beyond to make our stay good. In site 5 stayed 6 nights. Nice view but people like to cut through your site to go fishing. Easy to dump, water pressure good, decent level site, all gravel. People were respectful of quiet hours. Season ends too soon. Again, NO cell service.

We stayed 4 days during Labor Day weekend. We were on site #16. We were in the direct sun from morning to late evening. Fortunately we had an awning screen to help block some of the sun. We will not reserve that site again. It was mostly level and required a 2nd hose (which was fine). The view was nice, the shower house was clean and the hosts were nice. *Dont expect to get service if you are a Verizon customer. You will need to drive to the top of the hill to get any kind of service.

You need to remind everyone that brings a dog that they need to clean up after them when they check in.

The host of the park was nosey an drove thru all the time staring. There was NO privacy at all. Kids were driving golf carts thru the park all hours of the day a night. Bathrooms an shower room stayed flooded and nasty. Overall not a relaxing vacation.

The campsite is so clean and so quiet. The park attendants treated us like VIO and came by to see if they could be of service. The fishing is awesome. This has become pit favorite campsite

Stopped here in early April. It was quite the trek to get here. Roads with no shoulders. But, we made it and it was very quiet. Local friend drove over to visit and that was nice. Great camp host.

great campground there was no electric or water i can understand water early in the year but!!!!!! why no electric it will not freeze and i believe if the electric was on there would have been many more campers there were only five campers also this is a open year round so why do you cut off electric makes no sense
@KarenSB850B038 · Camped on Feb 28, 2024 at Campsite #25
The sites are stacked close to each other. If it was in season I would have had campers squeezing me in. Electric could be left on during the winter but they choose to turn it off and not lower the price so I paid for services that were turned off. Fishermen were inconsiderate in the wee hours of the morning making all kinds of noise launching and loading boats before 6:00 am. I'll come back only if they keep the electric on in the winter but never will I stay in the height of camping season.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
