Baileys Point Campground in Allen county is located 42 min east of Bowling Green, KY with an elevation of 560 feet. There are a total of 216 campsites. The campground is normally open from mid April to the end of October. 213 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 20 and 107 feet. All sites are currently reservable. 157 sites have electric and water hookups. 1 site has electric hookups. 9 sites have water hookups. Fees range from $18.00 to $50.00.

The view was beautiful. But the exposed rusted nails and rotting steps were NOT okay nor safe. I had our 3 year old daughter who I had to carry most of the time near the site bc of the rotting railroad ties with exposed rods and nails. Even busted a tire, which cost us $200. Completely unacceptable. I understand that the sites are older, but simple maintenance and making sure all sites are safe should be a requirement. Glad I didnt bring our dog, could have easily stepped on nails also. I almost tripped multiple times going up and down the stairs to the picnic tables bc the steps were half rotted and missing. I understand that over time things wear down, but again, monthly maintenance and making sure there is no extreme deterioration of the site is something that prevent accidents from happening.

Location is excellent as it's directly on Barren River Lake. A lot of sites have a full water view. Bailey's Point is my favorite COE campground. Rates have increased significantly over the past couple of years so I'm hoping some improvements will be made. The campground is kept clean but the bath houses need to be repaired and maintained. Grass is getting high in some areas; some areas had overgrown and was cut like hay. I understand the attendant and camp hosts are now volunteers and not paid; that seems like a step in the wrong direction. Nothing to do with the campground but AT&T cell coverage is spotty at best!

We like Baileys Point, but were disappointed with how the condition of the facilities have declined over the last couple of years.A crew came in to cut the very overgrown grass the day before we left. The bathrooms need repairs and upgrading. Hand driers dont work, leaking faucets, etc. There is a lot of work in general that needs to be done.

I really wanted to give the highest rating, but the grass was so high and needed to be mowed so bad. Other campers were talking about that they had never seen it like this ever and they had been coming for 30 plus years. The high grass just aids the bugs. We joked that we should have brought our weed eater and trim around out sites.

Gas is extremely tall. Looks like it hasnt been mowed all year. Also, the electrical boxes, in most cases, are on the wrong side of the campsite.

Nice quiet Campground, set by a nice lake. Wish we had a longer stay, with so many activities nearby, Mammoth Cave National park, Corvette Museum, Lost cave tours and kayaking the green river it would have been nice to enjoy the Campground more. When we were able to relax at the Campground we did enjoy a few sunsets over looking the lake. Only downside to the campground was the swimming area which was a bit small and rocky.

My favorite COE campground. The lake level was high due to recent rains but still a good trip. Restrooms are cleaned daily but could use some upgrades. Showers have doors for privacy but most are missing curtains to keep water inside of stall. Campground is clean. AT&T cell service is spottysome areas its pretty good and others have very poor reception.

Great place to stay and the camp host are amazing. They even came around and gave our kids glow sticks and temporary tattoos to have.

Easy checking in. Attendant very friendly, was up in E sites and the bathroom up there just needed some attention. Other than that, it was lovely.

Great campground. Difficult pull thru site with larger travel trailer for D7 and D9. Ideally you would need to come from the opposite direction of the flow of traffic and pull into D9 and you would have to do the same for D7 but pull past and back into the spot from opposite direction of traffic flow. Overall excellent campground will book again for sure.
