This campground was absolutely amazing! It was very clean and quiet. The restrooms were the cleanest Ive ever seen at a campground and the host was extremely nice. He drove around making sure everyone was doing ok and seeing if we needed anything! We will definitely be back!!

Nice campground. Clean toilets. Camp host does a great job. Could not get a spot at North Rim, this is only about a half hour away and had spots available. Some of the sites are not big enough for big RV or travel trailers, so pick carefully. Close to the little store across the highway.

Beautiful place, easy access to North Rim area.

Site 33 was a great location for tent camping. There was a very clean vault toilet not very far away. The site is in the corner nicely spaced away from other sites and in the woods. We saw deer in the woods near our site in the morning. The location for accessing the north rim is great. The ground is hard, bring steel tent stakes and a good tent stake hammer!

Location was excellent and the site perfect for us. It was quiet and plenty of space between pitches.Visit the North Rim and walk around that area it is truly magnificent.

Great campground! We saw the change of fall colors everyday. The camp hosts Dan and his wife were nice and very helpful.

I visited Demotte campgrounds around 9-15-24 for 3 nites. I was in a tent only site that was large and clean. All the sites looked clean and large, RV and tent. The toilets were clean and there was potable water also. They had firewood for sale for a decent price and it was cured. No cell phone coverage. Remember, elevation is 8500 ft, so cool at nite.

Pretty nice camp spot close to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Our space was large enough for our 6-person tent, and the picnic table was big enough to organize supplies, cook on, etc. The fire pit was really nice and we used it without issue for two nights. We were surrounded by ponderosa pine at our spot and were entertained by some plucky squirrels the entire stay. This spot is really close to a convenience store, which was super helpful. The bathrooms were not as nice as some of the other camp spots we stayed at on our trip and the lighting situation was inconsistent during the night. The tent spots were also packed down and covered in gravel, and it would have been nice to have pine needles or something softer underneath the tent. Overall, a fairly good place to stay if you can't get into the Grand Canyon campsites.

There is construction nearby so the days were always noisey. The first night was relatively quiet and enjoyable. The second night other campers had arrived and brought barking dogs. There was also a tent camper who evidently was cold and slept in his car, starting it at least every hour and running it for 15 or so minutes. Another camp site had a large tent set up with table, chairs, anc cooking equipment, etc and they had bright lights on with conversation well past 10 PM. The third night, knowing we would not sleep we went and found another campsite. It just seems as if so many people feel as if they are above the posted rules.

We stay at DeMotte each summer. It is clean, quiet and friendly. It is close to the North Rim without the hubbub : )

very quite - beautiful night skies. It was a good alternative for the North Rim Campground we did not get in. We stayed with a 30 feet RV.

The campground is clean and the sites are not on top of each other. The toilets were also clean. The camp hosts were friendly and was on top of making sure the camp is top notch. I will definitely recommend this place.

An excellent alternative to North Rim National Park Campground. Spotless toilets. Friendly, well run campground.

All went wellThe spot was small compared to what it looked like on the map or satellite image so we had a little trouble fitting a 28ft rv and a car in the designated space, but we made it work. It was clean and quiet

De Motte Campground is small, quiet, and pleasant. It's close to the entrance to the GCNP North Rim. It also had the cleanest vault toilets I've ever seen.
@KentB4829114 · Camped on Jun 19, 2024 at Campsite #11
The campground, facilities, and sites were very clean. A very nice option if the North Rim is full.
@JonathanE40733 · Camped on Jun 18, 2024 at Campsite #38
Well-spaced sites. There's not much visual privacy because there's no undergrowth, but the forest is nice to look at. Sites along one side of the campground have a view of the meadow. More staffing than I've found at other forest service campgrounds, a guy on a cart came by in the evening to see if I wanted to buy any firewood.

clean and roomy and very beautiful area. Not crowded like the ones inside the national park.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
