This was my first stay at Tuff Campground and I enjoyed it very much. The campground host kept the restrooms spotless, stocked, and even added air fresheners in each of them. Water is conveniently located in each loop allowing for easy RV fill up when you arrive, or for carry container fill up. Cellular service is excellent with a cell tower serving all three carriers located nearby. There are walking trails along Rock Creek allowing for access for stream fishing. It appears that CA Fish and Game stock Rock Creek since fishing was excellent. Please note that it can get dusty at times. I would recommend this campground as an alternative to the busier campgrounds in the Mammoth Lakes area.

Beautiful campground close but out of sight from the 395. Stocked creek running through the facility with easy paths to prime fishing spots! Rock Creek (upper ) trail heads , pack station , OHV, Crowley lake , And numerous geological attractions surround Tuff. Maria (camp host) was friendly and professional without getting in the way of your enjoymentshes a treasure in herself. Will be coming back

So this was my second time going here with my family and i loved all of it the fishing and the stars were perfect. We did have one problem which was on lot 13 there was two scorpions that appeared during the night time, it was the Deathstalker (Leiurus quinquestriatus). That made the nights uncomfortable, so dont book this lot 13.

Nice location for a car-camping base. I stayed here for a week and made day trips to Mammoth Lakes, Devil's Postpile, June Lake Loop, Sherwin Creek, and even went down the hill to Millpond Recreation area in Bishop.

Had an awesome time at Tuff campground. Our site 19 was perfect. Fire pit, table, restrooms, creek and the scenic back drop. We would stay here again. Did I mention the trout fishing? Caught our limit.

We had such a nice time at this campground! The host was great and accommodating. We had a pretty large group and had about 8 spots between our families. Its right across the street from Toms Place /Rock Creek area. Mammoth is right up the road about 20 minutes and Bishop is down the road about 20 minutes. The bathrooms at the camp group are really clean just like others have said. Cell service was great too! We have TMobile. We were there June 30,2024-July 5, 2024. After a couple days there was a bear in camp that got into our cooler two nights in a row and stole a raw steak lol. The camp host said there hadnt been a sighting in awhile so we were kinda relaxed about it and didnt use the bear box like we should have . She was shocked when we told her one showed up lol so she told others about our experience to warn others. We ended up using the bear box the remainder of the time there and had no other issues. All in all Id definitely recommend the campground. Beautiful creek and fishing spots . All of our families hung out in the creek and shade to keep cool and it was really nice :)

Had a great experience, campgrounds were very clean. Bathrooms were well kept and not far from campsite. One of the nice features was a nice flowing stream right across from sight, and there plenty of trails for exploring.I would definitely return in the future, loved the peaceful atmosphere.

Campsite 22 was terrific. Loved the way the Aspen trees quaked! Beautiful weather. Clean pit toilets. River ran just a few feet from our camp. We will stay there again!

Stayed here for a long weekend and it was great! Convenient location right off the 395 @ Tom's Place. There was a mix up with my reservation, but the camp host got me a better spot than I had initially booked so that worked out pretty nicely. The creek is so pretty, with lots of places to sit near it. I saw a number of trout in the creek, I don't eat fish so it was fun just to see them and sit alongside them for a while. Nights were peaceful and days were sunny. Clean and fresh smelling pit toilets. No shower, that would have made it a bit better. But no complaints at all and will definitely stay here again!

Our camp host Bob was amazing, very friendly and helpful. Always saw him out and about checking on people and facilities. Everything in general was great, the only thing that was an inconvenience was having to drive the trash to the campground entrance to dispose of multiple times a day. Most campgrounds we have stayed at have multiple bear resistant trash receptacles. We will definitely stay at Tuff again, it's short distance to Convict and Mammoth was convenient and the creek through the campground was great kids even managed a few trout out of it.

Great campground overall. Host was helpful and friendly. Really would be good to have a campground map available online. I could not find anything, anywhere that showed the basic layout - which can be very helpful for planning with other parties, scoping sites with a larger RV etc. All said, we plan to go back to Tuff campground. Overall its a great spot!

Pretty good campground. No dump, but there is one across the 395 in a campground that is easily accessible. This site was large and you did not hear the highway noise much. Nice stream close by. We would stay here again.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
