Picturesque and well maintained sites. We prefer dispersed camping but the spacing between sites allows for some mod moderate privacy. Great access to amazing hiking. This is my second time here and Id come back again in the future!

Love this campground and had a site right next to the stream

Only stayed one night. EXTREMELY LOUD CAMPSITE. Lots of sites blasting music day and night. Blasting giant projector TVs. Dont come here if you want to be in nature. Staff was all nice, facilities are all clean, too bad they dont do anything about the noise.

Camp manager was amazing and bathrooms were very clean and attended too. Very close to trailhead and creek. Would return 100%

We like the campsite. it is clean and spacious with a spot grated for tent. You can hear the sound of the creek from the site.

plenty of space, big parking spot, big area for your tent setup and big spot for your table and campsire spot. one thing i noticed is the amount of rats everywhere. but as long as you lock your food youll be okay. i liekd how close it was to the trailhead, big plus

Love this campground. The tent pads are on the small side and the road is rough so it's not really an RV place. The driveway is not level but should fit 2 cars. The tent pad should fit a 8P but over that is pushing it. No water, but there is water two campgrounds (maybe 2 miles) down the road. FYI, now bears have not been spotted this year according to the Host (who was wonderful). Oh - clean restrooms.

Very quiet and well kept campground. I felt safe as a solo female camper even with a popular trailhead nearby. Bathrooms were the cleanest I have experienced while at a campground and kept very well stocked.

Campsites are close to each other yet secluded. Some sites are shady, and others are best with a tarp.Toilets are maintained and clean. Theres no potable water available, yet the creek provides plenty of water provided you filter or otherwise treat it.Theres the South Fork TH right at the campground that connects to the North Fork TH to hike back to the lakes and glacier.

The camp steward was very helpful. Helped my jump start my car after my battery died. Thanks!

Great campground overall! Very nice location. Spot 014 is awesome! It is more private than other spots and close to the restroom. Campground manager Allan is great and welcoming. Restrooms very clean. Very convenient to hike big pine lakes

Love how close the campsite was too big pine trail. But if you go during summer days to campsite 008 this campsite has zero shade till late afternoon. So canopy is a must. There is also zero water spicket but the creek provides plenty a water to filter.

This is by far my favorite campground! The creek, the green trees, the wildlife, the fishing, being surrounded by nature at the base of some of the most beautiful mountains...it's wonderful! The camp host was kind and professional. Everyone I encountered was respectful and friendly.This is a primitive campground, so bring your own water. There are vault toilets, which compared to backpacking, is a luxury!I do wish they would install coin showers by the lodge. It would be nice to have that option for longer stays while tent camping (not RV glamping).This is a great place to escape the city, the world and just relax and soak up all the nature has to offer. Disconnect to Reconnect.

Beautiful campground and spot. It is a little tricky to maneuver a vehicle between the rocks and trees
@BrianM6776107 · Camped on Jun 20, 2024 at Campsite #13
Site is cozy and offers decent privacy. Nice tent pad (approx. 10x10). Toilets were always kept clean. Campground is next to the creek, so most noise from neighbors was drowned out. The trailhead for N + S Fork Big Pine Creek is a short walk away.Some potential drawbacks: this site is right next to the toilet and on a few occasions you could briefly smell it (at the time they were really full), and there are mice that live in the surrounding rocks and bush that come out after dark, so keep a clean camp!The area is a beautiful spot and I will definitely return.

Site 29 was big, next to the water. We could put two tents and still had a lot of place to sit around the fire. No water and that was allot of trouble.

We've been going to Big Pine for several years now and have never had the tall grass around our camp. It covered the rocks put in for centering you on the site. Bad for trailers. The tall grass made the site about two feet shorter and four feet narrower. But that wasn't the worst of it. We were all bitten by tiny reddish black bugs (maybe chiggers) and the itching was enough to send us to the pharmacy). There were 5 other site campers that we spoke to and had been horribly bitten. Be aware - Oh, the Pharmacist recommended A & D ointment and aquaphor as a second. They still itch!

The camp space was beautiful. The camp host came around and checked me in. He also continued to patrol in his golf cart. Bathrooms were available and clean.

I've been camping at Big Pine Creek Campground for over 70 years. And, I've always enjoyed the area, and the fishing has generally been very good. However, over the past few years, the DFG has cut down stocking the creek to about twice a month. There are still a good number of fish to be caught, but be prepared to look for the out-of-the-way holes, and locations. Also, I've noticed that there are always a number of campsites that are tagged "reserved," and the camper has not arrived for a couple days or more. The host should open those sites, and make them available until the next reservation dates.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
