Thomson Causeway Campground, Thomson, IL

Thomson Causeway Campground in Carroll county is located 1 hr 4 min northeast of Davenport, IA with an elevation of 604 feet. There are a total of 129 campsites. The campground is normally open from the beginning of May to the end of October. 122 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 30 and 110 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. 102 sites have electric and water hookups. 22 sites have electric hookups. Fees range from $14.00 to $25.00. Some amenities include dump station, playground, boat ramp, amphitheater. Activities include biking, fishing, hiking trails.

All the campsites are nice but, it would be helpful to have some sites that don't require a reservation.

Our first time at Thomson Causeway. We spent the last week of the 24 season in site 114. Stunning location. Very pleasantly surprised to fine water at each site. Most sites were well spaced. Paved roads with level concrete pads. Restroom's were clean and supplied. Close proximity(~20 min) to Clinton IA for whatever you need. Verizon coverage was sufficient. Well be back!!

One of our favorite campgrounds! The park is well maintained and the sites are clean and level. The sites along the river are a little tight but we still had plenty of room and a great sunset!

We love having both water at our campsite. The concrete pad was level, no need to use leveling devices. The washrooms are always very clean and always work. The sites are spacious and have ample room between them. It's peaceful and quiet, so Nature's sounds are easily heard. Thomson is our favorite campground.

Such a beautiful place. Clean campsites, and the bathhouse was always very clean. Recommend staying here and hitting the Great River Trail, or going across to Iowa and visiting Wide River Winery!

Love the place and the closeness of camps next to the river - if I have a complaint, it would be other larger campers leaving their lights on all night - the lights wash out the night view of the river and tow traffic on the river!

PLEASE PLEASE do something about your vault toilets!!We absolutely love everything about this campground except for the horrific odor in these toilets. I have used many vault toilets but have never experienced anything like this before

Nice level cement pads, good water & electric at each site.Nice shade trees although they are mostly oak & hickory & at this time year are dropping their nuts on top of your camper.

Very nice place to camp. Has different areas for campers to chose from. Very clean. Need flush toliets and showers in every area for campers.

This was our first time camping at Thompson Causeway, it did not disappoint. Nice paved level pads with water and electric and a great view of the Mississippi, the sunsets were stunning. The bike path to Savanna and the other direction to Fulton could be accessed right from the campground. Showers were clean, push button, and did NOT warm up. That was disappointing however they were private with a door and dryer egress area.
