Priest River Campground, Oldtown, ID

Priest River Campground in Bonner county is located 1 hr 7 min north of Coeur d'Alene, ID with an elevation of 2,074 feet. There are a total of 20 campsites. The campground is normally open from mid July to mid September. Sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 20 and 48 feet. All sites are currently reservable. There is a fee of $25.00 per night.

Good spot that had showers as a nice surprise. Also excellent dish washing station that wish more recreation.gov campgrounds had.

The camp host seemed really nice. The camp spot have lots of room and isnt jammed in there like most campgrounds mostly shade. Has a very nice beach for swimming but if you have a dog you can not use it you have to use the dock area which is small and does not have a good beach only enough room for 2 small groups. We had to sit on the dock and then we were in the way of the 2 boat slips and no where to swim as there is no swimming off the dock. That is why I am giving only 3 stars.

Nice sites, clean facilities. Close to the highway so theres a lot of road noise.

Restrooms were clean and I love the outdoor kitchen! The Host was the hostess of the mostest. He actually guided us into our spot with our trailer. Will come back!

This park was small and friendly with nice, clean bathrooms, hot, high pressure showers, dishwashing area, and large, shaded sites. Camp host was friendly and helpful.

Our favorite campground ever! I say this for several reasons:1. Very friendly and efficient camp hosts.2. Great amenities.3. Fantastic location, right on Priest River and on edge of town. 4. Often good fishing. If you have not been here you need to try it!

Had a great time. Our site was right off the water with a beautiful view. We were right next to the playground which was great because we had young kids that could play while we could see them from our site. There was a lot of foot traffic past our site as campers must pass it on their way to the playground or beach but we didn’t mind. The camp hosts were so friendly and even had little treats for the kids. We will definitely be back

The campground is great and the older couple who I think are the weekday hosts are awesome. The younger couple (in their 30s-Man with a beard and heavy set blonde woman) were very rude. They told me I couldn't be 1 minute past 12 getting my stuff out so I paid for another day. At 4pm I pulled my rv out to take it home and was going to return to tent camp for the night and fish the next morning. At 4:39 PM they cancelled my reservation without refund and without my permission. They have issues. Beware of them. Again, in their 30s guy with beard and heavy blonde that live in the bright blue bus at the entrance.

Excellent Campground! Great facilities with the best camp hosts in existence. An accurate review of this place would seem unbelievable until you had been here a time or two. You have to experience this to believe it!

We always enjoy our camping trips here. Found this campgrounds by accident and we go back at least two times a year. No matter where we are. Always make sure we stay here. The camp hosts were so friendly and helpful.

We checked out the site we had reserved the day before our actual reservation and actually no-showed it. The host was helpful in showing us our reserved spot. There also was a beautiful beach. However, this was during a heatwave and there was no water cooling off availability for our Scotties. No observed pet area, no great place to walk dogs. Site 20 was about as far from Hwy 2 and you could stay so probably would not have much road noise. I believe this campground is best suited for petless campers that have boats. Not us. Grassy field area was also being renovated and was unavailable. Host was also courteous in messaging us early in the day saying early check-in was available since site was already vacated. Also had dump available. Nice CG but not for us.

Just there one night, but found a spacious quiet spot near the entrance away from the traffic noise. Restrooms were clean with very nice showers, and they have a separate area for washing dishes. The hosts were very helpful and gave me a booklet for the Washington Cascade Loop which was very helpful. Such a beautiful area.

This is a great spot, clean facilities and lovely little swim area. The only reason we chose 4 instead of 5 stars is that we stay in a tent. This site is noisy, too close to the road.

The camp was spotlessly clean, very hospitable hosts, and the sites were generously sized. The riverside location was nice. The only downside was the very nearby highway with lots of traffic noise.
