Very overgrown. The whole campground needs a clean up after what looks like storm damage. Though its named Bumblebee, way too many yellow jackets - hang some traps.

I normally never leave bad reviews, but I feel that I need to warn others not to book the group site at this campground. The regular campsites on the other loop of the campground looked fine but this group campsite is the worst I have ever seen. On the description it says that it is shaded, and maybe it once was, but almost all the trees in the group area have been cut down and there is no shade. There were huge ash/burn piles throughout and nowhere to put tents because anywhere that was not the site of a burn pile had been overtaken by 3-4ft tall weeds. There was only one useable site in the entire group area but still nowhere to put a tent so we had to set it up on the parking spot. The whole area smelled like dog poop. We couldnt tell if it was from the dogs of previous occupants or if it was from the nearby outhouse. I will say, the inside of the outhouse itself was very clean and did not smell but the air outside smelled awful. Other than that, the entire loop looks completely derelict and not maintained AT ALL. I cannot believe they even deem this loop of the campground useable, let alone charge over $100 a night for it as a group site. We never saw a camp host. We left after the first night and found a free spot across the road right on the river that was 1000x better. My other complaint is that there is no signage for where to turn off of Little North Fork Rd toward the campground and directions on Maps ends before the turn off. There is no service to help you at that point. We ended up passing it, driving a ways, and having to turn around. That was our experience, take from it what you like. I would just hate for anyone else to book this site and feel the same extreme disappointment when showing up.

Pretty camp site. Clean and very private spaces. I went at the end of June and it was very buggy but if you dont mind that it was good.

We camped at Bumblebee June 16 - 20. Few campsites were occupied and there was no host to answer questions or purchase firewood from. No cell service at this site. Toilet facilities were clean. Fished a little, only one fish caught. Sites had all been mowed and were level.

Camp hosts were accommodating, friendly and very educational with us and our children.

Many trees had been taken down and not much shade at campgrounds. The restroom was always clean! The campground host was friendly and informative. I expected the ranger to come through and didn’t in 3 days there.

There are no signs to the campground. When we finally arrived our site was not clean there was garbage on site. There was human feces and toilet paper less than 5 feet away from the fire pit and table. Even if the site wasn't disgusting there was no place to put up even a 2 man tent. We tried to find the camp host but couldn't find anyone on either loop. We stopped to use the toilet and found out why people were not using it. I couldn't even go inside. On top of that the water pump was not working and we had no prior notice so we had no access to water. We ended up walking away and forfeiting the 50$ it cost to reserve. Luckily we were able to find a primitive spot about an hour down the creek. It also had garbage but was much cleaner. The campground was a waste of my money and a health hazard.

Scenic canyon manages this campground for the forest service and the managers who handle that area for them are extremely rude. The water pump had been out for over a week when we checked in and still was not repaired when we left (5 days later). When I questioned them about the repair they threatened to have me kicked out. We left two days early due to this.

Its a nice forest service campground. Pretty easy to find, convenient to the interstate highway. Reservation was all handled correctly. Would go back. There are a lot of people enjoying water recreation in the near-by river

Campground was so-so. First of all, there was no signage telling us to turn right to the campground UNTIL AFTER you have turned right to the campground. And that is after driving past the road due to no sign telling us to turn B4 & where to turn. Very dangerous fire ring as it is sunk in the ground. Very easy to have fallen, human or 4 legged, into and been seriously hurt. Thankfully, we didn't have any children, of any age, with us & our dog managed to stay clear. We were there in August & spent all of our time driving in the mts as the entire river is mostly landlocked. What "public" places there are were so full, that 1st of all you couldn't park anywhere near the river--& if you did find a place to park, the water & "beaches" were full of people! It was very hot, so that was to expected, but what we didn't expect was how little access the public has to experience what the internet described as a beautiful river. And speaking of beautiful--it wasn't. Very disappointing & disgusting at the litter everywhere. The vault toilets were filthy! And I don't mean just the toilet. All in all we won't be returning.

The campground was clean and vaulted toilets kept up well. Campground hosts were friendly but weren’t there on 2 days of the week. It was close to the larger river were you can go tubing.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
