Very nice campground, especially the campsite where we stayed with river access and a large wood pavilion over the table area (roughly 1/2 of the Kit Price campsites have them). The pavilions are well-built, and serve as protection from both sun and rain. I wish other campgrounds had them!Kit Price is comprised of 3 loops of campsites. The A loop is heavily wooded and had no pavilions. The B loop (where we stayed) was mostly stumps and shrubs between campsites and many of the sites had the pavilions. The C loop is the best of both worlds, where half is wooded and the other half stumps and weeds and only 4 sites with pavilions. The best river access is in the C loop.Our campsite was not cleaned after the previous campers, as evidenced by water bottles full of cigarette butts in the pavilion, and beer cans and trash in the fire pit. We walked through a few other campsites that had the same issue. The camp hosts at Kit Price were gone every day we were there, and never came by to check on anything.

Beautiful campground on the river! So many cool river sites. So many birds, trees, walks, rocks, fish to look at. Favorite place to go!

Loved our stay here!

We love Kit Price, But with the removal of all the trees you have let all the grasses and weeds grow freely, IN and around all camp sites. The bugs were atrocious because of all the vegetation. We didn't even start a fire for worry of all the 5 foot tall grasses and weeds not 1 1/2 feet from our fire pit would catch fire. I fully believe in nature but I also believe if you have a campground you should control the areas people are paying to camp in.

Cleanest vault toilets I have ever seen! River access is overgrown and resemble faint game trails in waist high grass. There is not a common access point to the river. Sites not adjacent to the river have to cross through another campsite. Awkward and uncomfortable early in the morning or late evening.

Great site with close access to the river or right off the site was river access down a small but steep bank. Very clean and quiet campground with good space between sites.

There was someone parked in our camp site when we arrived. We went to the camp host for help, but no one would answer the door knock. Returning to our reserved camp site, we asked a fellow camper if he saw the person parked in our spot. He did and said that a lady left the car and headed to the river. He offered to find her and tell her we were waiting for her to move her car. They both returned 15 minutes later. She moved her car off of our camp site and all was well after that. Thanks to the fellow camper.The paved roads, camp site, toilets and camp shelters were all very nice.

Great campground, we had a great site, good shade. We enjoyed the river, as it was warm. The bathrooms are very clean. Also, you need to fill your trailer up with water, before going there. There is no cell service at all.

Bring water toys and small tubes for the beautiful river. Dont disturb the frogs and crawdads as they live there too. Some fields were loaded with butterflies and humming birds. When its hot bring plenty of water to drink. Misting spray bottles really help. Also keep those pets on leashes.

It would be extremely helpful to have a current map of the campground. It was really difficult to choose the campsite from an outdated map. Otherwise the campground was clean and quiet and well managed. Not a lot of shade.

We enjoyed 3 nights at this campground over the 4th of July in spot C55 which has a large pavilion. The park host has tons of firewood available for sale. The vault toilets were extremely clean. Water spigots were easily accessible. The river was too shallow for adults to swim, but lots of kids seemed to enjoy playing there. There is no electricity so if you have an air mattress you will need a plug in your car or use a lighter plug type of pump. There is no cell service (Verizon) basically once you get off of I-90 at Kingston and the campground is about 30 minutes from there. We drove over to the Bison Range in Montana and explored the area. The silver mine tour in Wallace was really interesting. This campground is about 8 hours away from us, but we really enjoyed our time there.

This campground has nicely spaced pads and the camp hosts do a wonderful job of keeping the place clean. It was nice & quiet both times we've visited.

Site was very clean and nice. Wish there was electric and water. Also the reservations aren’t clear which sites have a shelter and/or double site.

Campground is close to the river for fishing and floating. Clean bathrooms and the sites have plenty of room for travel trailers and tents.

Nice park on the river, sights are mostly good space apart. Sadly most of the trees have been cut down, but still nice park.

Nice and clean. Loved the new covered picnic area. Close to the river. Close to hiking and Huckleberry picking
@CandiceG309527 · Camped on Aug 5, 2022 at Campsite #C42
Site C042 was great! Loved having that shelter coverage over the picnic table. Will definitely stay at that site again. I feel every site should have one! Especially with so many trees being cut down. Not much shelter from the sun/heatwaves weve been having. Hosts were pleasant and took pride in taking care of the place!

The online map does not correctly match the numbered campsites at the actual campground. I reserved campsite C048 because on the online map it showed them to be close to the river beach and close to the bathroom, but when I arrived, the C048 campsite was no where near where the online map represented it to be. Very frustrating. I tried to get a refund, no one would help me. I would not recommend camping here until they get the online map to correctly represent where the corresponding campsite actually is.

Kit Price has been recently renovated. There are now paved roads and paved sites. Some sites have a large shelter or pavilion built over picnic tables. Some sites are rated as doubles and cost a double amount. There were water hydrants spaced around. Unfortunately, the map is out of date and is not accurate. Sites on the inner circle have no access to the river except by going through the sites that are positioned along the outside of the circle. There are very few trees left since they removed the. The weeds were five feet tall. Even if you walked through an empty site to attempt access to the river, the weeds were so tall and thick that it was almost impossible to get down there. In the afternoon were were getting bit by black flies so we had to load up with bug spray.

I've been going to Kit Price since I was a kid, and have always loved it, although the loss of the trees have changed the feel. I booked a site on the river, then found out the the map wasn't accurate anymore, and ended up in the middle of the loop with no shade. They built covers over alot of the spots, but not all of them they should have. Every loop should have public access to the river, but only loop c does without going through a campsite. And in the 3 days there the camp host never cleaned the toilet bowl, just some light sweeping of the restrooms. There have been some nice changes to the campground, but a few more minor upgrades would be nice

absolutely love this campground! The camp hosts were amazing and wonderful!! Love that the place is open again and love that they're putting the shelter structures in since all the trees were cut down! very disappointed that the group site in loop A that was right on the river is no longer reservable...every year we had a large group coming up in late June early July and one of our group would reserve this site so that we all had a meeting place large enough for many near the river...this year we were unable to obtain the site...the people that were in the site were very rude and nasty. Absolutely uncalled for and nasty! please put that site back for reservation.

This campsite used to be a jewel along the North Fork of the Coeur d’Alene river. Then, several years ago they came in a cleared A LOT of trees out of the campground. They redesigned each of the three loops to put in more spaces. Granted, the pads for parking are all very level and some spaces have new structures over the picnic tables that are nice. But they are not at every site and due to the lack of trees there’s no other source of shade. In the summer it can get quite hit here and w/o shade, it’s miserable. Add to the fact that they have let all the wild grass and vegetation in between the campsites grow up to about 4+ feet and now the entire area is a breeding ground for mosquitoes and black flies. It was sooooo much nicer before. They have done the same thing to Big Hank further up the road and also to Bumblebee campground back closer to I-90. It looks like they have left Devils Elbow alone for now. But it’s probably next.

We reserved a space using the on-line map as a guide.....totally disappointed!! Fortunately we were able to find an open FF space that was much better.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
