Beautiful area. Campground was clean and site was spacious. We were there mid week and it was very quiet. The lake is super cool!

Beautiful campground, with amazing views, privacy,plentiful water, and clean toilets. We had reserved a campsite in advance and when we arrived at dark, it was easy to navigate the campground to our site. Would highly recommend. P.S. We were there in early July and the mosquitos were plentiful!

Beautiful campground in Ruby Mountain Range. The birdsong in our site was lovely. We listen to and spotted Indigo Buntings, Yellow Warblers, and Robins. There was an accipiter we couldn't identify. Our site was quite private. The vault toilet was very clean. Water was good tasting.Love this campground!

This campground is beautiful and peaceful. There is hiking nearby. The camp hosts are so friendly, kind and helpful!! Weve camped there twice in the past few years and hope to be back again!

Good hosts and no problem with reservation. One of our favorite areas! Too bad the Angel Lake road was closed, but that's not the Forest Service's fault.

Loved this forest service campground! Some of the spaces are relatively open, but if you prefer you can get one tucked into a grove of aspens. Beautiful and very private. Campground is a just few miles up a well maintained road, a short distance from the interstate, but feels very remote once you arrive. Great place!

The gentleman that was the camp host did a great job of keeping the place clean. The bathrooms were the cleanest I had ever experienced and the addition of the room freshener great idea.

A perfect stop on our way to Utah! Could only spend one night but the place was gorgeous! Simple and easy. Would stay at the lake if we had more time..

1. Pretty location, but campsites needed more upkeep, such as cutting weeds. 2. No trash pich-up.

We have always loved camping at Angel Creek Campground. My family and I have come here for years. The views are incredible and it is absolutely serene. This campground is more spacious with more room between neighbors as opposed to Angel Lake Campground.

Other than Google taking us off the wrong exit (thankfully someone has a sign telling you where to go) this site was great. The drive back and the views were incredible and the cows are wonderful little bonus. Ample spacing between the sites to top everything off.

very nice campground in a beautiful setting. Camp sites were well spaced out. Rest rooms very clean. Enjoyed our stay.

This is a gorgeous campground. I visited, towing my 13’ travel trailer, accompanied by my daughter who stayed in a tent. We reserved our site and settled in quickly. The pit toilet was clean, and fresh water was available. The view from the site was glorious, and we had a lovely walk. We visited in early June and the temperature was mild. There is no shade on the majority of the sites, so summer camping might be brutal. Sites 17 & 18 are in the trees a bit, so may provide some shade. I highly recommend this campground.

Great site, only complaint is that pad for trailer needs to be more level.

Peaceful and quiet except for the cows.

Got to the campsite at 8:00pm for my reservation. The campsite I reserved was occupied (there was no reserve sign posted and they had their own name and dates listed). Campground host would not assist after 7:30pm and would not return my voicemail or text. It’s been 2 days and they still never helped. I ended up having to travel somewhere else to find a last minute hotel instead. Extremely stressful to travel 14 hours to stay here and it just being unavailable and no assistance provided.

We stayed here overnight last year and we were so impressed with the campground host and the well kept , clean campsites. So we booked the same site for this year again overnight. Very disappointed this time. Trash (cans, cigarette stubs, children’s candy plus wrappers, plastic bottle tops etc) littered the site and the surrounding area. The area is lovely and the campsite itself is very quiet. Hopefully they will be able employ a campground host for next year.

We were surprised by this gem of a campground. We were expecting it to be more desert-like. The campground was on a mountain (the top of the mountain had snow in July). There was quite a bit of Aspen trees and greenery for being in the desert. The campground was clean. It happened to be the weekend, which there was a group of people partying until the early morning hours the first night playing music and the second night those same people continued but not as late followed with cursing at one another in a disagreement about how their camping should be. Definitely not the fault of the campground but definitely made our stay slightly less enjoyable. There was another campground up the mountain which also had a day use area for Angel Lake. There is a parking fee for the day use which is probably to maintain the bathrooms there. Angel Lake is a must see if you are staying at one of these campgrounds. Also if you hike to the left of the lake and follow the trail to the far end of the lake there is a little waterfall that feeds the lake. It’s a fairly short hike there. Follow the trail closest to the lake that crosses the creek and follow that creek trail to the waterfall. We ended up hiking out a bag of trash from the far side of the lake, which is sad that people don’t try to keep it more clean with how pristine the water is. I wish people were more respectful. It’s not difficult to pack out your trash. Anyhow, lots of trout could be seen swimming along the shoreline and tons of people were fishing. So if you enjoy fishing for trout you should stop by to try your luck. We would definitely make that our stopping point again when we go back to visit ID/MT areas.

It’s a bit out of the way but very private and we took our e-bikes to Angel Lake. It was a great ride but a lot of braking on the way down. Campsites are private and well kept.

I used this campground as a backup to the Angel Lake campground. It was fine. Easy access and everything I expected.

Great place. Very peaceful. Add s bonus were the cows that’s were out and about through the national forest.

There were a few problems at Angel Creek. Our reservation was not posted at the site so another party had taken our camp site. We were not able to locate the host to resolve the matter. Luckily we were able to find another site, but we were never able to find the host, including the next day. The cows nearby are fine, but when they come into the campground, including bulls, it's a bit much and takes away from the experience. We did stay at this site one week before and had no problems. The Ruby Mountains are gorgeous. thank you, -Mike

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
