One of my very favorite campsites. Third time staying there, and I will be back again. Thank you?

This is one of the best campgrounds in the GSMNP.One thing that has to be improved is thereare many holes in the gravle road leading into BIg Creek and the campground. They cannot be missed when getting to the campground. If these are not filled in, cars can be damaged.

Absolutely excellent location and experience. Creek right there within site, bathroom a one-minute walk away, running water right next to the site. Friendly staff, well-maintained grounds. We will absolutely be returning to this gem of a site.

Big Creek Campsite is great! Easy access to the river. Nice facilities. Not too crowded. We benefited from people no-showing to their reserved sites as the area was 'fully booked' but we were surrounded by empty sites, which was nice. Campsite host was nice and helpful.

The camp hosts were wonderful, as always. Kind, welcoming, and on top of keeping the campground clean and functioning. And the campground itself was absolutely perfect and I cannot complain about the upkeep at all.The only reason I did not give my stay 5 stars has to do with the number of people trying to illegally camp or set up for the day at the campground. People took up parking, unloaded stuff into a campsite that was not theirs, and made it impossible to get to the bathroom at times - and this happened daily with folks who were not staying at the campground. The hosts did chase them out when they could, but it was a constant issue. I think having an enforcement range here randomly to ticket folks might deter this behavior.

Great campsites, beautiful Creekside setting, just enough modern convenience and awesomely scenic and well maintained trails with easy access nearby.Only very minimal complaint, the trails are a bit rocky.Great experience!

Hello Folks I camped a couple of days at Big Creek Campgrounds in the Great Smokey Mountains. I can honestly say it was one of the most beautiful campgrounds I have camped in... The fall colours were in full bloom making it that much more spectacular. Hiking up along Big Creek to a couple of waterfalls was super energizing. Meeting other campers and hikers along the way and sharing thoughts about the day and other camping experiences. It was so nice finding likeminded people along the trails and back at the campgrounds to share other areas to explore. I spoke with the park warden who was super helpful and jokingly reminded me how lucky I was to have one of the twelve sites and getting site 12 which was a perfect location overlooking Big Creek. Thank you so much for preserving this amazing grand parcel of land for people from the States and from all over the world to enjoy.

Perfect getaway in GSMNP! Quiet, creekside sites with easy access to trailhead. Clean restrooms and overall great place to camp. Creek provides constant, white-noise type of sound. As the name implies, it is a big sound coming from the creek, but very relaxing.

The camping pad was huge and perfect for our needs. During the rain, it drained well and didn't puddle or pool which was huge for keeping us dry. The picnic table and fire ring were perfect as well. We took others' advice and didn't filter the water at camp but drank it straight and had zero issues. The bathrooms were clean and well stocked. We will be back!

I liked the darkness at night. Campground was large but not too many sites, relatively private. The trails leading out were good to explore, plus the water hole for swimming would be fun for older and younger kids in summer. I would go again.

Very nice campground with easy access to some awesome trails. I would definitely go back and recommend to anyone who likes to do some hiking.

My husband and I had a great time camping and hiking at Big Creek. Parking at the campground was easy. Walking in the lush green woods was refreshing and beautiful. All the Park Rangers I talked to when getting passes to hike the backcountry were friendly and very helpful. We plan on coming back.

It's a very beautiful site. Not much privacy between campsites, but otherwise you are deep in the woods. The creek was lovely and offered a soothing backdrop of white noise.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
