Amazing campground. Camphost and Im guessing additional employees came through and cleaned bathrooms and took out trash it seemed like at least twice a day. Seems to be very well cared for and very clean.

Very nice spot with access to 3 stunning waterfalls and cascades.Unfortunately the pit toilets were less stunning and not cleaned.

Great campground, large spots,we put 3 tents in this one, plenty of space between the other sites, very quiet at night, short walk to the river and waterfall, hope to be back next year!

The bathrooms were unbearable. There must be something that can be done so theyre not so awful- even flies were dropping dead in them. But the park itself was beautiful. If it wasnt for the bathrooms, we would definitely return.

Very bumpy road out there, but worth it. Such an incredible place. Only 1 water spout in the whole place and it was quite a walk from our site.

Fun, big trees and nice walk to the water falls.

Spacious and shaded, clean sites and toilet. Campers were kind and quiet for there being many RVs (no generators going, though early in the season). Wonderful host (offered activity booklet w/crayons for my kid). 100% recommend.

The calendar allowed us to reserve the first day & stated the following 2 days were "FF" first-come, first serve - so we booked expecting to be able to stay all 3 days. We returned from a day trip to the falls to find the ranger in our site who said we had to leave, someone else had the site reserved, he went on to say this location hasn't been FF for over 4 years and they've had "issues" with the app. There is no cell service so there was no way to call or look anything up, we could argue that we had a reservation, we just had to pack up & go. The people who supposedly booked the site were in another site & would walk & bike by, coming in to the site to "check" on us multiple times, causing our dogs to be anxious & protective, then we had a drunk couple stop by & yell at us because the dog kept barking at all the people who kept coming into our space. It was by far one of the worst camping trips I've been on, and I will never use the app again for reservations.

This is our favorite campground with great views of the lower falls and the Lewis River. Clean and quiet, with lots of trails to explore. Don't miss the beautiful 3m round trip hike to see the Copper Creek Falls and the Lewis River's middle falls!

My family and I loved that a trail lead through the whole campground. Its also very clean and lots of shade.

I arrived at the campground around 230pm. The camp host was present but nowhere to be found. I like it that way as there is less interaction with humans that way, I appreciated it. Anyways,The campsite itself is excellent. Plenty of shade under the canopy trees. Clean and not too much dirt, but rather ground covered in needles. There is some gravel too ok the ground so be a little cautious when using your tent here. Parking was good enough to fit at least three vehicles. There is a nice fire ring with a grill included. Firewood can be purchased from the Eagle Cliff Store a few miles down the road in Northwoods. Early season camping allowed me to collect some fallen sticks and branches for extra fire fuel. I was camped up next to some rather loud folks and even after 10pm they were being loud as all hell. Nevertheless this is a popular campground, so your experience may vary!

Great campground. Plenty of privacy at the campsite. Quick walk to the falls. Definitely coming back!

The campground is beautiful and well maintained, getting there in the early part of the season is sketchy as the southern route is really rough in some areas and the northern route is closed still

Great site. Clean, close to camp utilities, would definitely come back.

Simple yet beautiful campsite. We (group of 2) stayed at Site 1. The fire pit and grill worked fine. The compost toilets were a few campsites over. The lower falls were just a few hundred feet from the toilets. There is a trail that wraps around the campsite and then on. There are fallen trees along the way, but if you're up for a little adventure, then it's no biggie. Part of the road up to the site had a lot of dips and pot holes. Very few people during the early season (May) while it's still cold and rainy (nothing a space heater and a few waterproof layers can't solve!)

This campsite was fantastic! Most of the sites here were nice, but we enjoyed having a lot of space between us and our neighboring site. I preferred the lower loop to be closer to the river. Note there was no host on site, so things like firewood or walk up bookings were a no go.
@PERRYE8653E032 · Camped on May 16, 2024 at Campsite #10
Beautiful campsite, was very clean and close to the falls. We had access to fresh water at upper creek and really enjoyed our time there.

This is very nice campground! I enjoyed my stay there and visiting, photographing the falls. I was the first camper to arrive for the new season, I thought that was cool! Now for the not so good, The water pump for my loop was not working (wish I had brought my own water from home), the fire pit had not been cleaned and it did look kind of like the campground wasn't quite ready to accept campers. I will be going back this coming fall!

The Lewis River is very beautiful and the campground is very nice. I recommend hiking on the trail along the river, either upstream or downstream. The forests there are wonderful too.
@juliarB37D0185 · Camped on Sep 14, 2023 at Campsite #35
Upper loop backs up to Forest Rd 90 so you will hear traffic if you take any of the sites from 39 to 33. That said, the sites are nice, plenty of shading from the tall firs, enough vault toilets to keep smells down, The Lower Falls are lovely with a nice deep hole at the base. The Lewis River trail from Lower Falls to Upper falls is nice, easy enough for these 67 year old legs. We found some lovely Lobster Mushrooms ( late September camping dates). The Lower loop is along the river and some distance from the road. Nearest ice and cell service is 20 minutes from campsite.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
