Riverside (Hungry Horse) Campground, Hungry Horse, MT

Riverside (Hungry Horse) Campground is located in the Hungry Horse Ranger District of the Flathead National Forest (3 hrs 9 min north of Missoula, MT) with an elevation of 3,571 feet. There are a total of 3 campsites. The campground is normally open from the end of May to mid September. Sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 30 and 50 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Fees range from $16.00 to $32.00.

This was a stunning campsite right beside the reservoir. The tent location for the smaller campsite was not readily apparent and the ground was uneven - we ended up moving our tent next to the picnic table and that worked great!

Beautiful spot! Fishing is great on the cove side. The camp host was amazing. My favorite spot.

Camp ground was ok, the host was nice but the 21 mile drive on a wash board dusty road made the trip not a second visit.

Beautiful small campground . No trash disposal so it was impossible for us to haul all of our garbage from several days back home to Wisconsin. Other national forest campgrounds have trash disposal but we were unable to take our trash there either. We ended up throwing it out in several different trash cans in Kalispell. It was a pain!
