I stayed at the accessible site #13. There were no level places for the tent.

Karen was an excellent camp host. She made us feel welcome and was so accommodating to help us find camp sites that would accommodate our family. We had a wonderful time. We look forward to staying again.

We love the Mackinaw campground just as it is. We have been coming here for over 50 years for our family reunion and take up most of the campground. The rustic feel among the heavily wooded trees, makes it so we dont feel on top of one another, and brings us closer to nature. We hear youre going to be making upgrades and are concerned about it, drawing in more crowds that would deter from the beauty and peace that we feel there. Please dont cut down the trees like at Doctor Creek. We visited with others in the campground during our 10 day stay and others feel the same way.

Fantastic Campground

The location is beautiful, located in aspen grove (which us surrounded by miles and miles of prairie as you drive in). The camper sites are tidy, easily accessible. The lake is great (although shallow in many areas) with easy access and lots and lots of fish. We enjoyed the sweet convenience store on the property where we bought firewood for the pit at our campsite.

We just finished our third stay at the Mackinaw Campground and it was the best one yet, even though our vehicle broke down on the last day of our stay. Thanks to the amazing camp host, Karen, we were able to contact local mechanics and get it quickly towed and fixed. She was so helpful, understanding, and flexible with assisting us. We couldn't have done it without her.We will be back again and again!

We really enjoyed the Mackinaw campground and fish lake area. The shore line trail was perfect for morning walks with our dog. Overall great experience.

We were very disappointed, there was trash at the entrance there were very loud campers and there was no sign of the hosts to help out.

Great clean campground! Loved the table and fire pit. And really liked how close the water spickets were to each camp site. This was my first time coming to this campground but Ill definitely be coming back!

The campsite was easy to find and is close to the restrooms. This site has limited shade with none over the tent area, but there was still a couple trees to hang a small hammock. The restrooms are older and didn't have hand soap, so bring your own. :) The shower facilities are nice, but only 3 out of the 4 were open when we were there. (You need quarters to use them.) Fishlake was lot of fun!

We have stayed here every summer for the past 5 years. We love it! It's peaceful and beautiful. We always see deer and plenty of birds. We love the sunrises and sunsets and the walks by the lake. It's our favorite camping place.

September is a great time to visit Fish Lake. Not too hot and most of the mosquitoes are gone. The campground has beautiful showers, flush toilets and the nicest camp hosts. If you go after Labor Day like I did it’s very peaceful.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
