The campground hosts were friendly, helpful and perfect for the role! We love Wolf Creek Campground and Union Reservoir. The campground is quiet and the adjacent campers were friendly and very courteous. Our only wish is that there were restrictions on motorized boats - especially near beaches and in coves. We have young granddaughters who love to swim, and the whole family has paddleboards or kayaks, so it would be nice to have areas of the reservoir that were safe for swimming and non-motorized watercraft, to be away from jet skis and motor boats - avoiding speeding craft and wakes. Restricted-use hours for motorized craft would also be very welcome - for those of us that go to Forest Service land to enjoy nature and peace.

No toilet paper for our two-day visit in any of the bathrooms.

Very nice beaches to hang out. The facility was very clean and friendly host/staff. We heard about the bears, but we think it is caused by people reading the wild bears. Something that campers should be educated. NEVER FEED THE WILD ANIMALS. let them be wild. They dont naturally like humans. Beautiful place! We will be back for sure!

Sites and reservoir are amazing. . Watch out for the two bears that have little fear of humans and are nightly looking for food. Summer weekend crowd is thick and noise from nearby neighbors at night was not enforced.

Absolutely loved the size and location of this site. We had two 26 foot 5th wheels that fit perfectly and still had plenty of room. A cute little creek ran behind this site as well as a bike trail. Short walk to a beachy area and the lake. If you like to have some privacy, this is the ultimate double site

This is a great campground. Less crowded than the others we saw. It was Memorial day weekend and it didnt feel overcrowded . Overall campers were respectful of the curfew hours. Only downside was the people above us made their dogs poop around the large trunk by our site and it was smelling pretty gross! Toilets were cleaned a refilled daily, camp host was nice and answered our questions. The sites are by level, lower level, closest to the water ,mid level and higher level more protected by the trees . Plenty of restrooms , there was wood to buy from the host, bear boxes to keep your food and scented items. The bike path take you almost around the lake and connects all the campgrounds. Water was clean and refreshing. Ideal spot for SUP, wakeboarding and boating .plenty of fisherman caught some trouts . We will be back !

Exelente lugar , muy limpio y seguro, los baos limpios , mucho espacio para disfrutar el lago, caminar entre los rboles y poder descansar de la vida cotidiana, se los recomiendo ampliamente, gracias.

This was a top campground for my little family and this year it was clearly not taken care of as well as it had been in the past.

Wolf Creek Campground was beautiful. Amazing views, super nice people. A bear was in our camp the first night. Her was huge but only gets 1. We were expecting him to come back but we did not see him again. Loved the cooler weather. Thank you for a wonderful week camping.

Almost always now throughout the Royal Elk system the camp hosts do not adhere to the rules concerning the amount of people or size of RV's or number of vehicles per site. As a consequence the quality of camping experience suffers.

Review is for site 28: Overall nice spot. Bathrooms and water spigot are a 30 second walk. It's also a quick walk to the lake. The site gets a lot of sun from 10-2 (roughly) so if you have a canopy, it would be good to put over the table. The site has a fire pit and stand alone grill. The bear boxes are long and tall and I think any cooler would fit inside. We fit two fairly large coolers plus a few bankers boxes no problem. A few downsides: The site above (17) is 10-15 feet higher which can give a nice view inside your tent when the windows are partially unzipped. Most the paint on the table was flaking off and would get jammed under your fingernails if you made a wrong move (plus get stuck to anything that was wet). The bathrooms were also pretty gross, dirty floors, lots of flies, and poop under the seats/some mystery brown stains on the lid. Overall though, we would stay at this site again.

We really like the new camp host he is nice and does a good job of keeping things clean but the the toilets were full to the top and stunk really bad.

The only downside to Wolf Creek was the bathrooms. They were the worst vault toilets i've ever seen. The signage said they hadn't been serviced (evacuated) since 6/14. over 2 months of waste piled up out of the bottom of the vault. And for some reason they decide the door needs to be left open. I'm assuming the venting system is working at this point. So it was absolutely filled with flies. It would've been a better experience if they had not toilets and you just had to take a shovel with you in the woods. Or drive down to Yellow Jacket and use their toilets.

Beautiful campsite and a great view of the lake. Nice beaches, some rocks but some smooth areas too. There were bears both nights but not in our campsite. Definitely clean up your food!

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
