First night was great. Second night a group moved in to all of the other campsites. Way too many people in each site yelling, flying drones, walking through our campsite and allowing their off leash dogs to walk into our site. Decided to pack up and leave as we dont go to the woods to be surrounded by so many more (inconsiderate) people.

Spacious sites, next to the river, close to hiking and a camp store, water pump works well, beautiful setting!

This was our second stay at Riverbend. Its a great walk-in campground. However, when we arrived on the Friday of Memorial Day Weekend, we found that there had been a prescribed burn that ran right up to the middle of our campsite. The FS had failed to notify us. It was still smoldering and very smoky at night all weekend, which was uncomfortable and unhealthy for some of our group. Site 16 is halfway burned: there are 4 good tent sites and 2 are on burned grass. This is last site in the row of sites and the closest site to the burn. They used the trail from the road to the campsite as the firebreak so half of campsite 16 is entirely burned, ugly, and cinder-y.I highly recommend that the FS close campsite 16 or at least make it first come first served so folks know what theyre getting. If you are expecting a pristine campsite, site 16 is half burnt out.

We were allowed to reserve our campsite 6 months ahead of time and then received multiple emails reminding us of our reservation and then even one telling us there was no water at the site and would need to bring our own. We spend hours shopping and packing and driving only to get there and find the campground padlocked and it had obviously not been used in years. There were signs posted saying closed due to fire damage and all campgrounds in the area were as well. As soon as we were back in coverage looked online and the whole area has been closed for years due to fire damage. Very frustrating to have this trip planned our for so long and put so much effort into it. I had tried to book at the campground for years and it wouldn't let me due to the fire damage so why was I able to this year?

Camp sites were generally good size and well laid out. The walk from your parking spot is not that long but is still enough to set you back from the road. The pit toilets are pretty clean and people knew to keep the lid down so they didn’t smell too badly. I would highly recommend this campground if someone is interested in a more “primitive” experience but still conveniently located close to Sisters.

Wonderful place to camp. The peace, quiet and solitude could have been better.

This was a great place to stay. It was more similar to dispersed camping than to a conventional campground, with lots of room and only a short walk from the Metolius Rover. Water, an outhouse, and trash collection were also within easy walking distance.

There is water from a hand pump. Nice spaced out walk-in sites with decent shade. Nearby river access is really nice. Shallow and slow, so great for wading, cooling off. Sad we had to leave early due to a bad heat wave.

Awesome walk in campground. The website made it sound like there would be room for a car and a small tow behind, but there is only room for one vehicle per site, with very limited parking. This wasn't a problem, but wold have liked to know that we couldn't park our 6 ft trailer in our parking spot.

Love this area! Didn’t love the folks in the next campsite being super loud all night, or the folks who walked through my site to get to the toilet (needlessly), but otherwise a stellar spot.

Nice Campground near the headwaters of the metolious river. Peaceful and quiet!

I like hiking into the site and it being very secluded from the others but I also wish they would keep the paths better cleared so I don’t snag my gear or have to climb over fallen trees.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
