Camp Sherman Campground, Sisters, OR

Camp Sherman Campground is located in the Sisters Ranger District of the Deschutes National Forest (53 min northwest of Bend, OR) with an elevation of 2,901 feet. There are a total of 14 campsites. The campground is open all year. 13 sites can accommodate RVs between 30 and 40 feet. All sites are currently reservable. There is a fee of $23.00 per night.

We have stayed be before, the campground and camp Sherman area is beautiful. Due to unhealthy air quality we needed to cancel. Yes, I knew the fees related to canceling but also disappointed in the way that campsites reservation systems have turned. The fees for changing or cancelling are ridiculous.

We found the campground neat and orderly. Our site had been raked and the fire pit had been cleaned. What a welcoming feeling.We will return to this campground again soon. We can't take high temperatures, so we'll go again in fall and spring.

This is a beautiful, majestic camp ground. Its like having a bit of heaven. Our favorite place to go. We always go twice a year. Great people, clean and great hiking.

Not dog friendly . The ground bees were attacking the dogs. We left and stayed at LaPine state park instead. Better experience for the whole crew.

I thought the description said river front, this site was across the campground road, close but not quite river front. Other than that, close to Camp Sherman and there is a nice walking trail along the river. We rode our bikes to the head of the Metolious then to the fish hatchery, the road was not very busy which made for a pleasant ride. We ate dinner out at Hola's, they are not open on Tuesday, but were open on Wednesday.

road in campground paved so low dust even tho it was dry.. Campsites well spaced. Vault toilets were nice and clean.

Our campsite (006) was nice. It was clean when we got there. Restrooms were clean. We were near the river, which was very nice, and next door to the Camp Sherman historic shelter. We enjoy bike riding around the area.

Site 3 was not right on the river but it is the most private site at the campground. There is a host with firewood for sale but they were off duty the whole time I was there. Vault toilets here and at all the campgrounds downstream but they were super clean and stocked with tp. It was a bit of a walk to it though. Everyone was super quiet the night I was there and this sight is far enough away from the larger sites that I couldn’t hear a generator. Overall relaxing experience.

Our site #7, was roomy and a close stroll to river. This time of year (early June) lots of green. We enjoyed our neighbors- the sites are very close and would make a good spot for friends camping together.

We had a friends and family reunion, spent 3 days together and had a blast. We camped, others stayed in cabins, and we were all very comfortable. Wonderful time!

My camping spot was very familiar as I hike all through there extensively. Situated next to the Metolius River, it is a fabulous place to camp. Highly recommend this campground.

We were positively impressed with the quality of care given the pit toilets. They were very we'll maintained and not at all unpleasant to use. We did notice that, although most of the camp sites had reservations during our time there (just after Labor Day 2022), a very large number of the sites were unoccupied with no-show reservations. Perhaps increasing the reservation cost? It is frustrating to not be able to get a reserved spot when there are so many no-shows.

The campsites were way too close to each other with very little cover. I only stayed one night and left.

A clean and quiet campground with Metolius river frontage. A short walk along the trail to the camp Sherman store. This site has less vegetation than other campgrounds in the area, making the sites less private from each other and the very close privately owned cabins.
