Site number one was a great spot. It is fairly close to site two so I would recommend reserving them together if you have a big enough group. There was ample shade for tent camping although site one doesnt have a lot of flat ground for tents. The hike to dark lake is pretty short and easy. It was a family favorite for sure.

One of the best campsites for families. We love it. Been coming here for years.

We stayed in a group spot. It was lovely and well shaded. The whole group loved swimming and hanging out in the lake.

Scout lake is a perfect place to take the family and kids. The camp sites were clean and quiet, didn't feel like I was crammed in next to strangers, and the lake itself was absolutely perfect for our kids to swim and play in. 10/10 will recommend to anyone.

We were in site 5. VERY WINDY. It had a parking area large enough for a trailer, detached truck, and 1 more vehicle. The parking area was mostly flat which was ideal for leveling. Many of the other site’s parking areas were sloped so we were happy. This site was pretty private even though we could see the people at site 6 at their fire pit from our fire pit but they were about 100+ ft away. View of Suttle was spectacular, best view in the campground. The reason it lost stars…. If that wind blows AT ALL site 5 is the peak-we could NOT light a fire at all, we were the only site I could see without a campfire, we actually asked the neighbors if we could use their fire for our potatoes one night. The wind also continuously blew out the Coleman flame. The day use Scout Lake was very close. We used a wagon and carried our paddle boards over daily. Bathrooms were very clean but I would suggest not getting sites 2 or 4A because when the bathroom started to smell in the heat, those are the sites where you could smell it as we were walking to the lake.

We arrived later in the evening (around 7) and found that the campsite we reserved was marked as "open" despite having a reservation. Campsite is nice, could have fit 2, 2 person tents easily and sites are not on top of each other. Scout Lake was lovely for swimming!

Stayed at triple site 001 at Scout Lake. This was among the least tree-covered sites in this loop so be sure to bring canopies. 95+ degree heat during the better part of the day didn't make things any easier. Otherwise, the lake is picturesque, great place for kids, too.

We usually love Scout Lake but there was tons of logging done and the site we usually stay in looked like a logging vehicle drove right through it ruining where we put our tent. The lake had a bunch of downed trees too which looked bad. Additionally the pit toilet near us was filled with water and locked so we had to walk far away for the restroom.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
