Map on website does not have some of sites. Site length of pads are inaccurate. And too bad so many were empty when site said they were all reserved

The yurts were great! Campground was clean and quiet at night. Easy access to the lake and the lodge on the other side of Suttle lake for some fun entertainment

Site 24 was nice as nobody was behind us. there was good access to water and the restrooms were very clean. The boat launch was easy to get to and not busy at all. Plenty of overflow parking was nice because we couldn't get our truck in our site with the trailer.

This is our family's second time staying at Suttle Lake. Though we stayed in a different campground previously, this was equally as wonderful as our first time. The camp spaces are large enough that you don't hear your neighbors. The restrooms were EXTREMELY clean and it was nice that they were easily accessible. When we arrived, we were greeted by the camp host. She was so friendly and kind. We requested to move our campsite to a neighboring one which was a bit larger and we liked the sun v shade. Without hesitation she made that available for us. The only downside - probably out of control of the campground - was that the all of the trash dumpster were filled to overflowing. We ended up taking our trash and recycling home with us that day.We will be back again next year!

Loved it, great camp host very personable. Only 1 complaint, mosquitoes.

We stayed in campsite #12 and had family stay in #11. We had so much room between the 2 sites. The view was great. The most inconvenient thing was the lake trail goes right behind the site. Logs separate the site from the trail, but there is also a large tree there, so people often come through the site. Hopefully most are friendly and give you a smile and a wave!Melissa was the best host I have ever had. She was friendly, always helpful, and full of energy! She kept the bathrooms and garbage area clean and picked up. I hope she stays as the host here for several years!We love Suttle Lake and Link Creek is our favorite campground.

Campground was great! Mosquitoes...UGH.
@RichardC284688 · Camped on Jun 24, 2024 at Campsite #8
Other than the mosquitos almost eating us alive, we loved it. The camping was wonderful with nice warm fires in the morning and at night and beautiful walks around Suttle Lake.

The campground was great. Plenty of room in site #13 and we were right on the lake. The lake was beautiful and we loved exploring the trail around the lake.

It's a tight spot for a 27' travel trailer and full sized four door pick up to back in to. You have to watch out for your truck fenders and trailer.

We have been camping at Link Creek for many years. We love walking around the lake and just relaxing and looking at Suttle Lake. The camp host was very nice and stopped to visit us.We will be back.

Beautiful place. We love hanging by the lake, taking the trail around the lake. We had some cool weather, a bit of rain, but a great time.

Snow was so deep we had to park at the entrance of the campground and walk to the yurt. Also, the wood stove seemed to not be airtight, and lots of smoke came out the back of the stove until it heated up. Other than that, the yurt was great and warm once the fire was going well.

I wish I had more to say here but unfortunately I was unable to have any experience at all. My girlfriend and I scheduled one night here as an early valentines day getaway. The day before my scheduled one night stay at one of these yurt's, I received a confirmation email with a padlock code for me to access the yurt. When I got there, I went up and attempted the code in the padlock... but the lock wouldn't open. I tried the combination every way possible but unfortunately, nothing I tried would work. I double checked I was at the right one, and even tried the code on the other two Yurts at the campsite. Still nothing. At this point I called Recreation.gov to ask if maybe there was a mistake, and they gave me a phone number for the site manager. I called that number, just to find out the phone connected to that number isn't monitored throughout the winter?? After realizing that I had no way to contact the site manager, I called Recreation.gov again and asked for a refund. They were very nice and apologetic about my experience and submitted a refund request to the site manager with a short note explaining that I was not able to access the yurt and therefore wanted a refund. The next day, my refund request was DENIED with no further explanation. I called again and was simply given an excuse that they can't refund me without property managers approval. What a complete joke. Do not book here unless you're looking to throw away your money. I am normally an extremely patient person, and I understand that there was probably some simple mistake that was completely unintentional, but at least have the decency to pay a refund. I was robbed of $60 and all that I got was a ruined valentines day getaway.

We loved the yurt. We were a little surprised to discover that the campground is not plowed, and the yurt was a short jaunt through the snow. Finding the yurt was a fun challenge, since we arrived after dark. The wood stove works well, remember to bring firewood and lights.

Dog friendly. Lots of birds. We even saw a beautiful bald Eagle. The sites are on a small incline. Include Dee Weight Observatory and Santiam Pass in your visit.

Toilets were cleaned daily. Host was friendly and helpful. Sites were clean. No trash. There was just enough wood to start the stove. Stove had tools including hot glove and hot coal bucket. Fire ring also had block of wood for splitting your wood on.

We had site #9 and loved it. Last site on that end of the loop and very spacious. Beautiful lake views and we could tie up our boat just below our campsite. Suttle Lake is beautiful and there is plenty to do. Hike around the lake, bike on the campground roads, boating on the lake and just sitting and enjoying the campfire. Love this place!

Campground was very nice and well maintained. We rented a yurt and it would have worked out well, but smoke from forest tires made it unbearable. We had to leave after one night.

Beautiful campground. There are times you hear Hwy 20 and if you like it quieter, stay during the week.

First time staying there and we loved it. It was clean, the camp host was nice and helpful. We can't wait to go back

The lake and campsite were great, and the host was very helpful. As is the case for being outside near water, make sure you bring mosquito repellent. They were out in full force in the early morning and around dusk. I don't remember encountering any during the rest of the day.

This is what camping should be. Easy access to water, clean and well kept campsites, a helpful host, lots of trees for shade. We had a great stay once again.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
