#14 was a great site, close to river, away from road, quiet, clean toilet.

We loved it here. A little off the beaten path but thats part of what makes it special. The fish hatchery just down the road was a hit for our kids!

Our first time to Bull Prairie and it was an amazing one. This camp ground is for a quiet, peaceful camping experience. If you want to party and play loud music (like the only 1 star review) go somewhere else!Non motorized crafts allowed on the lake. People did swim, but the water is a bit murky and cold. No showers or garbage service. Pack it in, pack it out. There is a lot of nature. Which includes bees and mosquitoes. It is a lake afterall, so it's to be expected. Bring the Off and some candles and it's fine. Pictures are mostly of Site 27, which is right on the water. There is a 1.25mile paved walking path around the lake. There is potable water and firewood is available. The OHV is nearby which you can hear at times during the day.That's about it. Great place and great camp hosts. Jody and Heather are amazing. They really care about what they are doing. If you have a bad experience with them, it's probably not them.......

Beautiful large campsites close to the Metolius River. Very clean. Decent amount of privacy between sites. Camp host was very nice and helpful. Plenty of hiking in the area.

The camp host was excellent, restroom was clean. Make sure to visit the Camp Sherman store for a great deli sandwich or hamburger. They have everything you need. A must see is the Wizard Falls Trout Hatchery -

Nice campground, vault toilets fairly clean but did have a strong odor. Water available. Lots to do in this area, hiking is great. Was there early June, no mosquitos! Nice shaded fairly private sites right on the river, many pull through sites as well.

The camp host, Emily, was just great. I forgot my camp chair, so she loaned me hers! She was friendly with everyone in spite of being quite busy.

We have been camping at Pioneer Ford many times. It is still just a beautiful as ever. What made this particular trip stand out was the campground host. She had the campground running in tip top shape and was dealing with the number of reservation no-shows, that take sites away from people that truley want to camp, in a very efficient and fair manner. We need more hosts like this.

My reserved site was taken by someone because they had thought it was not reserved- because the little sign at the front of the site was indeed lacking my reservation. The camp host- who I never could find in 2 days of knocking and leaving a note- failed to place my reservation on the site sign. Poorly managed- site looked great from the road. Other sites seemed to have holes in the week’s reservations also.

Great camp host. Great weather. Great time. Only issue occurred on the final night, a Saturday, when a group of young folks decided to party until late.

My favorite campground on the Metolius. Great sites for tent/car camping and great sites for motorhomes and trailers. Fishing access is terrific.

A beautiful campground with large, yet fairly private sites.
@KevinD6271011 · Camped on Jul 31, 2022 at Campsite #3
Campground has plenty of shade from the tall ponderosa pines. There is really not a place to get in the river (and it's ice cold) because the river banks drops off directly into the river. It is about 10 miles to Camp Sherman. There was no host while we were there and the reservation cards were all wrong and out of date. Lovely, quiet campground.

Love this campground.
@BenjaminS87598 · Camped on Jul 15, 2022 at Campsite #1
We absolutely love this campground. The Metolius is breathaking. Plenty of shade, a nice sound from the river and amazing hiking and biking everywhere. Oh, and Camp Sherman might be the best small place in Oregon.
@KathyE7166004 · Camped on Jul 11, 2022 at Campsite #12
Outstanding and very quiet campground. The sites along the river are very generous. There is water, which really helps. Lovely walk along the river that goes further down.

This review is for site #3. It’s on the interior of the loop. Not waterside and is for an RV. We had a 21 foot Travato RV and it fit great. Site has a fire pit with grill and a picnic table. There is very little privacy due to the water faucet access on the site and the back is next to the loop road. In July there were a lot of flies and mosquitoes but the vault toilets were clean. River is lovely. No cell signal for AT&T phones.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
