We love this place! The campsites are well spaced out, the river is close and beautiful and there is a great trail that you can take from either direction from the campground.

One of our favorite spots! Our Host Andi was so helpful and friendly and keeps the sites and vault bathroom very clean!

First time at Gorge Campground after walking through it for years on the Metolius River trail. Quiet and so close to the river.Best smelling outhouses! Thanks to the campground host.

Great campground!Our camp host, Andi, was excellent. She was professional, helpful and kind. The bathrooms and sites were very clean, and the reserved/open signs on the sites were kept up to date, which is really helpful.Wonderful experience

Very quiet location, with a few sites with nice views of the Metolius River. Easy access to the trail alongside the river. Friendly, helpful campground host.

There were a lot of no shows due to the onset of cold and wet weather that week.

The campground was mostly quiet and for the most part fellow campers were respectful. Being next the river was wonderful.

We stayed at the Gorge Campground during the fourth of July. The campground was quiet and peaceful. We went to the fish hatchery and Sisters for some shopping. We had a great trip.

This is a small, lovely campground, right next to the Metolius River. There are 18 campsites and most are large. A river-side trail is mostly separated from the campsites, but the trail does cut along the edge of several sites. There is one outhouse with two all-gender toilet rooms. The outhouse is clean and well stocked with toilet paper. In late June there was a camp host who had firewood for sale - $8 per bundle.

The Gorge campground is awesome. All the campgrounds we have visited on the Metolius River are: Big- compared to Detroit Lake where sites are barely big enough for a small tent and sites are very, very close to eachother. Clean- we have “leave it cleaner than we found it” rule and we hardly even needed a rake. Sites here are clean. NO FLUSH TOILETS, not a deal breaker for us. Close to the water- while the Metolius River is very cold, it’s easy to get to the water from literally any campsite. Campgrounds are separate but small enough to let the little kids ride bikes. I have been coming here for 40 plus years and the changes are noticeable but nothing negative for us.

Large sites. Clean. Small camp so very few folks around. Lovely. Quiet. Bats visited at night which was wonderful.

Ponderosa pine forest next to a pristine river- what could be better? Clean, large site with partial view of the river. Walking trail passes thru riverside sites so expect hikers to pass by. We walked the trail downstream to the hatchery bridge. It’s scenic but doesn’t offer many places to stop, sit and relax or picnic along the way.

Very nice campground; be prepared for RV's which can be noisy because they have generators.

The site wasn't as close to the river as we expected from the map. It was next to the entrance to the campground but also next to the forest upstream without other campsites, so pretty private on one side.

Quiet, beautiful campground!

No water available at this campground. Cell service very spotty. But, totally love the Metolius!

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
