Newberry Group Camp Site, Bend, OR

Newberry Group Camp Site is located in the Bend/Fort Rock Ranger District of the Deschutes National Forest (47 min south of Bend, OR) with an elevation of 6,350 feet. There are a total of 3 campsites. The campground is normally open from mid June to the end of September. Sites can accommodate RVs and trailers up to 40 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Fees range from $87.00 to $115.00.

Nice big spot for big groups. You might need to double up cars in one parking spot to make everyones car fit. Trail does run thru the camp spot so there will be random people walking thru, we didnt mind. Something to think about if you have territorial dogs. Overall a good campground.

A beautiful National Monument, within a National Forest, tucked away in Eastern Oregon at 6500Ft. Does it get better? It does when it’s the last weekend of the Season and the rush of Summer visitors have gone home. Definitely revisiting, after the snow melts next Spring.

Gorgeous site. Lots of room. Great hosting and support from the local ranger. Only downsides are the loop trail around the lake goes right along the shore. so you get some traffic throughout the day, and the parking lot floods when it rains.

Perfect place for a big group to camp. Had our own beach. Nice fire pit looking over lake. Ranger was nice.

The most lovely -HUGE- spot. It accommodated our group perfectly, with the added bonus of Dale (w/ the Forest Service), whom checked in often and provided really great information about the monument. The beach was great, the parking more than adequate and the experience priceless! A hidden gem!
