We took the off-road by mistake and it was the best part of our entire trip. This site is not level and has many ant-hills. However, it's next to the stream. This place is beautiful and not busy at all.

Great spot. We were the only ones there. Site and restrooms were nice.

We always love staying at this campground. The sites are not close together and have a lot of space. The creek is nice and easy to access for the kids. It's close to La Pine if you need to go to town for anything you might have forgotten, or if you want to go get a nice frozen treat on a hot day! The only downside to this area is the natural waterslides bring a LOT of people during the day, and it can get very crowded. A lot of the people that come to check out the slides will not follow the rules for parking, and it can become troublesome when trying to get to your site, or across the bridge.

We enjoyed our stay next to the creek. It was very relaxing to just kick back and listen to the sounds of nature. I would definitely visit again

The site was perfect for our family, thank you so much

Great staging point for hikes along the creek or just hanging out along the creek. The two spots nearest the falls tend to have day trippers coming through so can be busy. Basic amenities and no treated water. Bring your own water or filter/boil water from the creek. There is enough human activity up steam that you don't want to drink it straight even though it looks clear and is cold.

Beautiful small campground alongside Paulina creek. I camped at site #6, which is right beside the creek, is a good flat spot with plenty of sunshine and shade. I was even able to get Starlink to work from one particular spot :-). The trail up towards Paulina Falls is right across the bridge, and the water meant it was easy to cool off on warm days. The bathrooms are very basic pit toilets, that were clean. I recommend this campground for good basic, no-frills camping.

Lovely campground! Entry road was a nightmare.

Site #5 is listed as having a slight driveway grade, but it's off by 16" compared to the other sites, some of which are off by only 5" with the same description. I could not get close to level with two sets of leveling blocks so I couldn't run my fridge. The site is falsely advertised and you'll lose your reservation charges when you find out you can't comfortably stay there. It should be a FF site so people know what they're getting or it should be described accurately.Other sites are amazing and the waterfall is beautiful. The washboarded road is terrible, but if you go up to stay a few days, it's worth it.I tried repeatedly to cancel the remainder of my week's reservation, but it wouldn't process.

Beautiful campground with an awesome waterfall and access to some walking trails.

A great campground BUT the road in is a horrible washboard that beats up the camper. Wish the county would grade it

10/10 can't wait to go back. Site was right next to the river. There was only a couple of campers around us. A beautiful mini water fall of you follow the river. Chipmunks everywhere. The bathroom isn't to bad of a walk.

Nice campground, but the wasps, particularly at my site were awful. I had to leave early because I could not eat anything outside. Was very disappointing because it was nice.
@MichelleV17990 · Camped on Sep 9, 2022 at Campsite #10
The only thing that didn’t make this an excellent experience was the amount of wasps at the campground. Any time you opened food or turned on a cook stove there was 100 wasps that appeared out of nowhere. It’s a wonderful campground otherwise and we’ll definitely be back

Great campground! Clean and quiet. Paulina Creek runs through the campground and the waterfall is a short walk. Would definitely stay again!

No bad camping sites here. The water was lovely, the hiking was great, and the facilities were well maintained.

Clean, quiet considering almost every spot was full. Nice that we could have a fire! Only 21 miles from our front door…, so will certainly return! The Paulina Creek was clean, beautiful and refreshing!

I love this campground so much. It’s beautiful and peaceful and the waterfalls right in the middle of it is so calming to listen to. I will say they have quite the crew of chipmunks over there. It seems people must feed them on the regular because they were completely fearless. My friend and I had to eat in shifts. She would monitor all corners of our picnic table while I snacked and then we would trade duties. 😂 While it was amusing, it was also annoying. I think if they were not regularly fed by other campers they may not be quite so bold.

Late season camping is very rewarding and McKay Crossing proves the point. The campground was quiet and clean with sounds of the waterfall in the background to provide great ambiance. We only wish that the campgrounds were open later than early October!

It is a beautiful spot that is well supervised by staff. The hike to the Paulina Falls bridge was fantastic and on a clean, well-groomed trail. Bathrooms are kept clean. The creek is charming and the waterfall in camp is stunning!

Had some out of state friends that came to hang out with us & we had a blast. Hanging by the creek, hiking the trails and enjoying the waterfall. I would highly recommend.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
