Had to move, table rotted, 6 inches from ground, unable to sit at it. Bathrooms smelled bad. Water pump did NOT work cotter pins broken, could not prime or get water up

Reservations should know that the lake dried up two years ago… so sad

Great solitary, quiet campground. If you don't like crowds, this is the campsite for you. There are no hook-ups, but the bathrooms are clean (no sink, toilet only). Large sites, lots of chipmunks, easy walking distance to the lake. A quick drive over to paddle Hosmer Lake. We would camp here again : )

There is zero water behind the campground. You have to drive to the boat ramp to put your boat (kayak, canoe etc) into the water. The lake is so low in June that it was half gone already. Higher elevations are colder at night. Bring a heater! Camp sights are nicely spread out to five you lots of room. Volted bathroom was cleaned and supplied daily. Caught zero fish there so drove to Elk lake to catch big fish!

Very secluded sites. Great location next to lake. Gravel road for about 1.5 miles that would be better with an AWD vehicle. The campground wasn’t crowded at all when we were there. Unfortunately, the mosquitos were out of control the first weekend in June and we had to leave a night early. No fun just sitting in your tent because you and your dog can’t be outside without getting 20 bites in one sitting. Also bring your own fire wood as no camp host came around and was stationed at another camp ground. We also had some extremely loud campers who decided it was cool to yell at the top of their lungs at 3am. Not the campground’s fault though and neither are the mosquitos!

The water is missing and there's no mention of that. Booked a spot next to water, checked maps, made sure it was near water. Nope. No water. Its no one's fault but maybe update the maps.

Then map used to make reservations is not quite accurate. The restrooms are located between 4 and 6. The garbage cans are there as well. Because we did not want to be next to either of those we ended up finding another site which was great. The camp was not that full so it was very peaceful and quiet. a short walk to the water. We did find it interesting that there was a note on the restrooms stating that it was difficult to keep them as clean and sanitary as they would like with the Covid ordeal so asked us to be sure to use our own sanitation. However, there was no fresh water available because "it was a communal spot". We couldn't practice our own sanitation for that? Doggie bags are available to clean up after our dogs. Why couldn't we use bags to hold the pump handle then dispose of them? all in all it was a good few days. Kids had a blast.

When we arrived, someone else's name was on our site, we took it anyways. No one else came to claim the site so guessing it was a mistake. There was no camp host which means no firewood for sale so grab some in town beforehand. The bathrooms were clean, no water or hand sanitizer though so bring your own. The grate at the campsite was a bit higher than most others I have seen so we had to make a larger fire to cook food. There was a good amount of both trees and sunny spots. Also, very close walk down to the lake where many people put kayaks and paddleboards in. Look at the map before driving in, there is a left turn that you need to make that is not marked, otherwise only 0.3miles of dirt roads, the rest is super smooth. Would definitely come back again.

Part of what made the experience at Little Fawn campground was how clean the restrooms were. The caretakers I think their names were Bill and his wife Joy, were friendly, helpful, and great people. They deserve a big raise.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
