Peaceful campground-super clean bathrooms with a heater. A welcome surprise since it was hailing!

Beautiful park and campground, including clean restrooms. The boat launch at East Lake is useless for backing trailered boats into the lake. The launch is not maintained. Impossible. Thanks to our friendly camp neighbor, we were able to launch our boat with his 4WD at the lodge beach docks. Sandy and soft, but doable. East Lake launch, however, is okay for kayaks, canoes, etc.We have never seen a camp ranger, or law enforcement official during our summer trips, which makes it uncomfortable to deal with unruly campers, unleased dogs, and speeding boaters. We expect more from our National Park system.

Beautiful, large paved pull-through beach site in this lovely campground on East Lake. Restrooms and camp sites are kept clean and maintained by friendly and knowledgeable camp hosts. I appreciate that they are also diligent with checking for reservations with new folks who pull into the camp sites to prevent squatters. Theyre the best!!!

Great hosts! Quiet campground with decent fishing and if the fishing is off, lots to do just a short drive away.

Excellent and welcoming hosts !! Clean, well maintained bathrooms, and of course the beautiful lake.

The campground is close to the lake and most are nice size. 3 restroom (2 flushes) The docks were out of the water and the lake was at least 10ft lower than normal, Launching ramps were high and dry. Host are very nice couple and keep restrooms as clean as possible. Fishing wasn't very good with the lake so low and lots of moss.

Our first time here at East Lake Campground in the last week of September 2023 just 1 day before the park closed for the season. Because East Lake Campground is 6500 feet in elevation the nights were very cold, from 44 to 31 degrees but normally the days were in the morning windy and about 62*. The camp has 29 sites and NO hookups. There is flush toilets, NO showers, but had drinking water. East Lake also had 1 boat launch but the water was very low, some 40' down from the edge of the bank to the water. Great fishing and a great place for kayaks. Each site has a picnic table and fireplace. Most Sites on the lake side has pull-thru that were about 50' long. Some back-in sites were only 35'. Very quite campground and not too close to each others camp site. We camped at East Lake Campground in a Travel Trailer.RestroomsFlush toilets, faucet water. No hookups, No electric, No water hookup, No sewer hookup. You can fill your water tank at the $10 Dump Station so you don't have the weight in your rig.Dog-friendliness. Lots of space to run and play.

We camped at East Lake Campground for two nights. The sites are fairly large, but not very many trees to make them private. Some sites have beautiful lake views. Ours was a partial view (#23). Flush toilets which was a surprise at a forest service campground. We had nice weather but the overnight low was cold! You can walk to the resort. It is a one mile walk, so two miles roundtrip back to the campground. There is a shoreline trail. We went to the East Lake Resort and had some draft beers and a snack. Very good! We also attended the Hunter Noack "In a Landscape" classical piano music concert. It was right on the water and it was fantastic. Stereo headphones are handed out as you arrive, sit anywhere and listen! It was a great experience. There is a boat launch for our kayaks. The water level did not come up to the concrete so it was very muddy launching.

Beautiful campground! The spot (26) we reserved wasn't lakefront view as noted. The camp hosts, Kay and Terry were great! They were able to move us to a lake front spot due to a cancellation :) Very kind folks!

East Lake Campground has been a consistent favorite. A small campground right on the lake with flush toilets - such a great spot.

Lovely spot and not crowded but lots of mosquitos and the water isnt swim friendly. We ended up leaving and going somewhere else. It just wasnt what we were thinking - but if you dont want to swim and dont mind lots of bugs then you would probably be really happy!
@JulieR8736363 · Camped on Jul 31, 2023 at Campsite #22
The lake shore is lower in the last 3 years So the boat ramps need to be extended so the boats can be put in the lake.
@JERRYH8455525 · Camped on Jul 31, 2023 at Campsite #21
Great time except for the fact that Cinder Hill was the only boat ramp that was still in the water. Also had hail one day that came down sideways and washed gravel and rocks onto the road in the campground but that was Mother Nature's fault.

Beautiful camping area. It was peaceful and quiet. Easy access to a store for supplies if needed. We will definitely come back again!

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
