we had a great time at the Chisolm camp ground. The toilets were really clean.

Site 4 has excellent water access and zero road noise. The site was clean and the table and fire pit were in great shape. The only con was the site next to it is a bit close. Restrooms were also very clean. The campground is in close proximity to Palisade and Grotto hikes which is convenient.

no camp host on site, no way to resolve double booking issue. in the end we were not able to stay as out site was occupied.

Same spot for many years, we love it, please don't come

We very much enjoyed the week at Chisolm Creek Campground. It was very peaceful with it being a small campground of only 10 spots. We loved the close proximity to biking trails, being able to easily get on the lake to kayak and many trails to hike! The bathrooms in the campground were kept clean but not so much at the boat loading areas.

Close to the Camp toilet. Was raining throughout so the smell around the camping area was worse

The camp host was rarely seen. Cans and bottles were in the firepit when we arrived and I saw the same thing in other camp sites. Also, I wish there could be something done about the people that reserve sites but never show up. Or they come in, drop their camper, and then leave for days or even a week. But overall it was a great experience as it always is.

This is typically a quiet campground with nice water access.

Good sites with adequate space between sites

I appreciate the bear boxes. Overall, great campsite. We did have an issue at a reservation site where someone who did not reserve had taken our site. Luckily there was one other site that hadn't been reserved. Would also be good if the host station had a list of hikes in the area that you could pick up.

Wonderful spot by the creek to drown out any noise from neighbors and the bathroom is close, but not too close. Great loop to walk about and close to the Chisholm area nearby for longer walks, plus quick access to the reservoir and other hiking paths. Gorgeous spot!

This is a great campground. And this site is very roomy. I had a peaceful evening with a friend here and i was just what I needed. The hosts were friendly too.

Enjoyed the hike to the Falls. Very well laid out campground with each camp quite private from the next ccamp

Camp host was amazing! We had someone in our campsite well after their checkout time and they wanted to blame everyone but themselves. Thankfully the camp host handled it very professionally. This campground is beautiful and situated nicely on the reservoir. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Love this campground and Hyalite Lake! Would have been 5 stars, if not for the horrible camp hosts. We are from this area. We stayed at Hylaite several times this season, as did many locals. I heard the same complaints about the camp hosts from every person I spoke to. The camp hosts were extremely unfriendly! They have zero people skills and made us wonder if they were trying to chase people away. Horrible. May I suggest someone with some people skills next season?? Yikes!

Large campsite for activities. Good tenting. Hard to get watercraft to water late in summer.

Since Hyalite has done some major maintenance on fixing up roads & what not I'm blown away. As a local who's been going up to Hyalite for years I'm happy there's easier access. The sites themselves were very clean and a lovely gal checks in with you to make sure you're doing okay and says if you need anything to swing by the youth camp. Makes traveling solo more reassuring! I really like site #10 too because it felt the most private. The ones by the water looked nice as well!

It is a beautiful campground and the hosts were excellent, BUT, because our site was the most accessible to the lake (#5) and our daughter's site (#3), was along the creek, and had a log across straight from the picnic ground to the back of her trailer, STREAMS of people trooped through our campsites carrying their coolers, boats, gear, children, dogs. etc. I guess they felt justified because they wanted to use the lake and the stream to play in, but we felt like we were on a busy city street corner. There was almost NO respect for us or the fact that we had paid for the site.....we were in the way!

Newly paved loop, updated sites, quiet and peaceful. Excellent family choice.
@MaryE229 · Camped on Sep 16, 2021 at Campsite #5
I had the perfect night camping at Chisholm. The campground was quiet, fall colors were just starting to come out, and the reservoir was down so great places for dogs to run. In the past, it could be so dusty but since the loop was paved, there’s no dust from other vehicles. I was surprised at the number of sites that were reserved but no campers ever showed up. There really ought to be some penalty for that type of behavior, which seems a bit inconsiderate of others. I realize sometimes things come up but this seems to be a trend.
@DeniseE724 · Camped on Sep 14, 2021 at Campsite #2
The camp host was very kind and helpful. Facilities were clean and well supplied. Campsites were clean. I was disappointed the lake was dry on this end, but the views as I walked out on the lakebed were beautiful.

The improvements made the last two years are wonderful and especially love that the road noise has been been pretty much eliminated now as well!

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
