The sites are a little close. Site 1 did not have a large area that was flat on the grass to set a tent unless you set on the gravel pad. Loved hearing the running water all night. Cannot complain. Pit toilets were clean and maintained. AT&T had one bar of service.

This was a very nice little campground. It's right next to Rock Creek, which is really nice. The outhouse was very clean and stocked with toilet paper. A great place to stay if visiting Red Lodge or the Beartooth Highway. I would definitely stay here again.

Small but nice campground. Sites 1-3 are in a simi circle and are somewhat close together. Site 4 is for the camp host. Site 5 is a nice tent or campervan site. We were in site 6 and while they claim it is a tent site, there was no where to put up your tent except on the parking pad next to your vehicle. Site 7 is first come first serve and did have room for a tent. No one else was there except the host and we never saw him. I saw the review where someone claimed to have to share a fire pit and that was not the case while we were there. Each site had a fire pit.

The campground was fine and the camp host was very nice and gave us all the information we needed. The valet bathroom was very clean so no problems there. The only complaint was the road coming in 3 miles of holes was not fun. Thank goodness we had our pick up and we just had to drive about 15 miles per hour so we didnt tear our truck or camper up. We will definitely stay again on our travels. Hopefully the south entrance will be open.

I’m so sorry that the bridges in the area were washed away. This must be an outstanding expense for the area. The only access means taking an extremely rough road that did some damage to my camper setup. Use caution as one vehicle rolled down a hill the day before my arrival. Host was helpful and very friendly. Be prepared to pay $10 for the 5 small pieces of wood that comes in the bundle. Otherwise it’s a nice campground and I slept like a baby.

You guys need to note if campsites are "conjoined", aka, share a firepit with another campsite. This was a terrible experience. Nowhere did it say that this campsite was basically half of one big campsite with another party in the exact same immediate area! I want a refund!

Rattin Campground is easy to find and well maintained. The hosts are friendly but unobtrusive- Which was much appreciated. bathrooms were super clean. You can hear the main road from the camp, but it wasn't too busy, and if you're lucky enough to get a campsite close to the stream it should block out all the noise. We tent camped in site 5 (next to the host) and had nice level ground, plus were able to walk back to the stream about 100 yards. We saw a fresh moose track! This seemed to be a very dog friendly camp ground- plenty of pups about the area, but all were under control. All in all, If i needed a convenient place to stay in red lodge again, I wouldn't overlook this campground.

Very secluded, small and quiet campground. Beartooth River is just a short walk away (20-30 yards). The pit toilet was the cleanest and best smelling one I've ever used. Only there one night, so didn't get to explore much, but it's a ten minute drive to get to the town of Red Lodge.

Best campground ever! Wally is amazing and the best camp host we had at any of our campgrounds. He kept the bathrooms spotless (as much as you can for vault toilets lol). Campgrounds are clean and well spaced.

This was a wonderful experience. The campground was clean, quiet, well cared for and contained breath taking views. Access to the Beartooth Highway was convenient, too. I would highly recommend this campground. Thank you for making this a truly spectacular experience. We will definitely come back.

We stayed at a number of campsites on a 3-week camping trip across the western half of the US. This was by far our favorite campground. It was clean, the host was nice and left you alone for the most part. Each site had a fire ring, a picnic table, a well-sized bear box, a flat area for your tent that was a little away from the fire ring, and clean bathrooms. Each site was nice and private and had good spacing between the other campsites. There was a lot of tree coverage, which was really nice for that added privacy aspect. We stayed at the campsite that was at the very end of the road, which was great. But- be mindful, there is a private residence at the end of the drive- it's odd. So, just know that if you stay at that site #, you'll have their cars coming in and out and you can see part of their property. It wasn't too big of a deal. Beautiful site! Highly recommend.

We stayed here after a long day on the Plateau, and it was nice, super quiet, but also a little exposed/hot in the afternoon. We stayed at site #5 and the picnic table and fire pit were right next to the road, and the tent site was very near the host's trailer, so not a ton of privacy (though Wally himself was wonderful). Next time we might opt to stay in the Valley, but this was a perfectly lovely location.

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
