Great location for hiking and water sports. There is a new viewpoint created by the USFS of Pee Wee Falls that is within an hour of the campground on the east bank Pend Oreille River. Extremely quiet campground.

The family that was hosting while we were there was amazing! And the bathrooms were the cleanest we have ever seen them there.

As a local that comes here every year with young children to use the day use spots to swim on hit days or have family gatherings. The boaters that camp and take over the place ruin this nice swimming spot more each year. They dock thier boats at the day use beach going in and out around children and paddle boarders. Sometimes flooring it, knocking people off thier boards on purpose. And causing waves that could cause children and others to fall on sharp large rocks in the water. There was 3 boats on the beach my last trip there. I talked to the camp host and he said it's ok to dock boats on the beach. But it's a swimming area how can that be allowed? And there is a boat dock for boats to use, a safe distance away from the main swimming area/day use spots. The camp hosts are not keeping swimmers safe allowing this. And they aren't around until the end to kick you out 2 hours earlier then normal time. Placing paper signs over the metal ones to kick you out at 8 instead of 10pm. This is the nicest beach with shade on Sullivan lake and it doesn't feel safe anymore! It's not ok being sandwhiched around boaters that may or may not act a fool and hurt your loved ones!! I think its absolutely horrible that they allow boaters to be that close to swimmers!!

It would have been very good other than the fact that there needs to be more beach access and not let people basically camp in the day access ( old lakeside camp sights) so other people can never use it. It was irritating. We were there three nights / 4 days and never saw the camp host. Other than that, it was great.

The camping experience was great as always. However, I had to change my reservation ( shortened by one day) and to do that the whole reservation was cancelled and rebooked one day less. The daily rate had gone up since I made the original reservation and I was charged the new rate for the reservation. That gave only a $9 refund for the day less. It seems a backhanded way to retroactively charge the increase in rates.

Quiet and peaceful. Beautiful scenery.

Well maintained campground, no complaints there. Only real comment is that it is laid out primarily for people with RVs. The tent pads are minimal and there's no real choice about where to put the tent - and it had better be a small one. I saw people pitch their tent in the RV pad because there was no room otherwise. Good visual privacy between sites but they tend to back right onto the site behind you. One friend in a different site said it felt like the people behind them were right in his site. But other than that it's a nice campground, nice location, good access to the lake with a little beach and a couple of hiking trails and a boat ramp.

Camp hosts were kind and helpful. Vault toilets were clean and in good shape. Quick walk to Noisy Creek and Sullivan Lake. Swimming near the boat launch was a decent area to swim, but there are several other little beaches in the day use area. A little bit of noise from Sullivan Lake Road, but not very often (i.e. loud motorcycles on occasion). Saw a few snakes (small Garter like snakes) swimming in the Lake and one in the camp site as we were leaving.

My family and I have made Sullivan lake a tradition for the past 8 or 9 years! The walk to the beach is a little far but worth it! It's a very beautiful path with a bridge and a fresh mountain spring! The view from the beach makes you never want to leave! Most of the sites are semi private and supports multiple tents. I look forward to my 6 day stay every year! Stay beautiful

We’ve stayed here two years in a row now and each time is memorable and peaceful. It’s a perfect spot for kids, they can easily ride their bike around the loops and swim in the lake. Hands down one of my favorite campgrounds I’ve been to. Just be mindful of the bears.
@NancyS9263746 · Camped on Jun 30, 2023 at Campsite #5
We had a very nice time. The came site is close to the outhouse and close to the trail to the lake. My only complaint is the trees by where you park dripped sap all over our pickup.

It was easy to make changes in our camping schedule. Noisy Creek campground is beautiful and peaceful. Several good day hikes in the area. We especially appreciate the time and effort made to restore the "Mill Pond" area. Thanks for all your hard work.

We really appreciated our campground manager, Kenneth. He was warm and welcoming, diligently tended to the pit toilets and trash receptacles, and promptly responded to ‘bear alerts’ by visiting each campsite and giving everyone a heads-up. The only issue we experienced was a dog incessantly barking for over an hour on the morning of June 24th. It sounded like the owners had negligently left the dog tied up and unattended at their campsite, creating a real nuisance issue for other campers and nearly ruining what otherwise would have been a peaceful morning at camp. I would suggest posting a written policy prohibiting leaving dogs unattended at campsites or day-use areas.

Our campsite (#15) was very quiet. Appreciated not having to drive anywhere to hike: the noisy creek trailhead was a 2 minute walk. The campground and especially the vault toilets were very clean and well stocked with TP.

Nicely apportioned campground with lots of shade and easy access to Sullivan Lake. Camp monitor was very helpful. We had a 24' pull-behind RV and my 1500 RAM extended, plus a tent, and there was plenty of room for everything. Surfaces nice and flat. Fire pit and campsite were in good order when we arrived. Bathroom (pit toilet) and potable water were an easy walk from all sites.

This camp ground was very nice. Kenneth, if i remember correctly, (The Host/Manager) was Awesome! Nice guy to chit chat with for sure. As for the camp sites i would suggest you DONT get number 9 if you have a tent. I reserved 9 and 13 for our stay. 9 would be nice if you had an RV but there was no tent spot. All the other sites that we seen were pretty great.. It was a short walk,3-5 minutes, down to the lake and day use areas. The whole area was very clean and tidy. Very relaxing atmosphere. One very annoying part was the freaking mosquitos! bring plenty of bug spray with you. you will need it from sun up to sun down it seemed. We got chewed up during our week long stay. Not sure if this was a seasonal thing or not. Over all i would put this camp in the top 5 of "will be returning to"

This is a beautiful, mostly quiet, and small campground that is well-maintained. the only downside is that our site did not have a bear food locker, and when we checked in, the camp host was not present. I was going to ask for a different site so we could have a food locker. Other than that, it was wonderful
@JanetS5249327 · Camped on Jul 25, 2022 at Campsite #3
We enjoyed our campsite (#3) which was more open than most sites but at the end of July it proved to be a blessing as the fierce mosquitoes didn't have as many places to hide. The walk to the lake was lovely and the lake itself was wonderful for swimming and paddling our canoe. A very peaceful place : ) The camp host (whose name I have unfortunately forgotten) was excellent

Very well maintained campground (including the pit toilets). Short walk to the boat launch/beach area is really nice. Not all spots are ideal for tent camping, and parking slots also vary from easy 2 cars and trailer to just your one vehicle. Lakeside trail is great and isn't too difficult. Noisy Creek trail is pretty hard, a long continuous climb that well maintained but after about 2.5-3 miles a lot of deadfalls (7/22).

Nicely spaced campsites. Lots of brush around for firewood. Other campers quiet and friendly. Walking distance to lake and trail up Hall Mountain. Pit toilet was regularly cleaned. Some bugs.
@MargaretH95271 · Camped on Jul 17, 2022 at Campsite #GS1
Camped at the group-site this time around. Site consists of two double and six individual sites. It is extremely roomy with a large group campfire ring. Mosquitoes can be annoying depending on the time of year. The main campground features very spacious and private campsites. There is definitely a wildness feel here. There is no cell coverage in the campground. Bear proof food storage boxes are located in each campsite. Activities include boating, kayaking, fishing, and hiking. About 40 minutes from camp is Crawford State Park near Boundary Dam where there are Ranger lead tours of Gardner Caves. In addition, there is boating and kayaking on the Pend Oreille River to check out Z canyon and PeeWee Falls. Two hikes originate from the campground itself. Noisy Creek and the Lakeshore trail. Other hikes such as the Mill Pond are a short driving distance away. There is no light pollution, so the stars stand out in the night sky. The closest town with a good grocery store is Ione, which is about 7 miles away.

We had an amazing time at Noisy Creek in the end of August. There are a lot of trees in the camp so you have privacy from the campers next to you. Our camp manager gave us a day use pass so we could enjoy that area and start the trail to the other side of the lake. We also did the Noisy Creek trail but only did the first 1.5 miles in because it was uphill the whole way. Its a great campground to enjoy Sullivan Lake and I can't wait to go back next year.

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
