Absolutely fantastic campground! Wonderful tent pads, and extremely well laid out campsites -- not too close to other campers, and the landscaping creates visual barriers between sites. Bathrooms are clean and have hot and cold running water, and a sink for washing dishes is in the same location. Camp "hosts" were very nice and informative. We did two approximately 7-mile hikes from the campground during our stay. Not scenic, per se, but beautiful.

I am a Senior and I love to use your sites for a one night campfire with my GrandChildren and\or wife. This time it wads just the wife and dog. We get firewood and stay till after dark. The mass lightning bugs against a dark background makes this very relaxing.

Great camping! Its 10-15 degrees cooler in the mountains, so we had a nice break from the heat. The sites are well maintained. Well definitely return!

A very nice spot. It is a little closer to the entrance, so there was more car traffic than I would have liked, but overall a great stay. Clean bathrooms and showers. The showers are dark at night.

We stumbled upon the Catoctin National Park while we were on a road trip and decided to check out their campgrounds. Not only was there availability, but also the Park Ranger who assisted us was wonderful. He helped us create our account, book our site, led us to the campground so we wouldn't get lost, and gave us directions to town where we could grab a quick bite. Campground had firewood, showers, and toilets. The campsites were very well maintained. We would stay again.

It was awesome in every way. If you plan to bike, better bring an e-bike as the hills are very difficult.

I cannot say enough about the kindness of Don and Charlee, the couple in charge of Owens Creek Campground. We had a great evening and an excellent night at the campground. The departure was a bit rougher, as my car would not start. Don and Charlee helped me all the way to find help, drove me to an auto-shop and even installed a new battery! I am flabbergasted by their kindness. Their response was "we are here to help". I will remember this place because of who they are and what they did to us. Thank you again,

Super clean, very quiet, and nestled into the woods. An excellent experience. Special thanks for the donation firewood station.

I really love the U.S. Park Service and Forestry Campgrounds. They are easy to reserve and are usually well maintained. This campground was by far the most primitive one that i have stayed to date. That was fine for me since I was tent camping and came prepared. There is no front gate to check in, you just go to your site and set up. The bathrooms and showers were old but maintained and clean. The scenery was great and there was a hiking trail. There were more campers than I would have expected for a Monday check-in. I had very good phone reception (AT&T). A sign on the road coming in indicated it was part of the Appalachian Trail.

It was wonderful! Nice trails. Clean and peaceful environment. Friendly attentive Hosts and the Park Ranger did periodic rounds. Quiet time was respected by all. I was outdoors but I felt safe there.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
