Very well maintained and relaxing! The walk-in camping sites were close to parking and public restrooms that were clean and well-lit. The staff was very friendly and kept us informed on incoming weather when we didn't have cell service. Hope to come back in the future :)

Great campsite, clean bathrooms and supportive staff.

We camped at site D69, which was in a great location, away from the main road and private, yet close to the bathrooms. Highly recommend this campground!

The river was very refreshing on a hot day. Very nice campground

Great campground! Quiet and peaceful. Interesting historical sites in the area. River was low, but was still able to float a bit. Nice dark sky site!

The park was clean, peaceful and in a beautiful setting. There was access to the river, good trails, and overlooks. A park employee came by a nd cautioned us about fire safety, but the NPS deemed fire pit campfires could safely be used in spite of state general burn bans.

Great campsite with a great view overlooking the Buffalo River. Concrete pad is level side to side, slopes down to the rear some but not too bad. B28 is currently shut down and there are some trees and growth towards B30, both provide this site with some nice privacy. Bathrooms are directly across from this site. 2 minute walk to the river access. The Indian Rockhouse Trail is about a 3.5 mile loop and fairly strenuous in some parts with some steep incline and decline, but is well worth the hike. The Overlook Trail is shorter, only about 1.5 miles but is also a great hike early in the morning to catch a sun rise.

We loved everything about this park. Lots of things to do and great for kids. Our site at D68 was peaceful and close to the water access. Loved all the hiking and the park rangers at this park truly go above and beyond! They made it such a great experience for my children. The only negative was expecting the dark park because of their ratings and other campers would leave bright lights on all night. Wish it was put on reservations as a policy to turn string lights and other bright lights off by a certain time so you can truly experience the beautiful dark park how youre meant to. Highly recommend and we cant wait to go back!

Quiet campground in October. Indian Rock House trail is a good hike. However, many trees down across the trail. Maybe the trail will be cleared by spring.

The weather made all the difference. The level of the river was perfect for canoeing upstream. Campground was clean and quiet. Would love to come back sometime.

This is a lovely campground. Nestled in the woods, near the Buffalo River. It was quiet and clean.

We have been coming to Buffalo Point almost yearly since 1997 and we love it here! We camp here and use it as a base to visit surrounding areas. We visit Blanchard Springs, Mountain View, Flippin and Cotter and just take in the scenic views. There is no cell signal while in the campground so it is time you can be completely disconnected.

Overall it was a great trip! Shower house left a little to be desired. Whatever was in the water there burned horribly if it got in your eyes or any cuts/bug bites. Camp sites were clean. A park employee did come speeding by on a lawnmower and sprayed dust/sand/grass clippings allover our campsite and table, luckily we had most of our food put away, but he could have seriously injured my small kids that were playing

The scenery is spectacular. Bring your telescope for some amazing star gazing. No light pollution here.

Nice campgrounds, clean bathrooms. Rush Landing was a great place to just hang out and swim the day after our float trip. A 24/7 'Twice the Ice' was only a couple miles away and really made keeping coolers "ice cold" much easier and more convenient! We would definitely recommend Buffalo Point to others!

What a BEAUTIFUL location! We stayed in Loop E, was pretty empty for most of the week. Do note: Loop E doesnt have showers in their bathroom, that was disappointing. Keep in mind, no sewer at your campsites. Great water and electric though.

I lost my dog the first day there. She was tied up on her leash when I did a quick task and got spooked and bolted breaking the handle she was tied too and fled scared with her leash attached. I went to ask the campground host to help spread the word. The wife said you know theres predators out there that will get her I thought this was a horrible comment to make to someone who just lost their pet family member. He rode by our site and the cooler had gotten knocked over and spilt all out food and drinks scattered around. We had not had time to pickup because we were out looking for her. Every minute counted. She had ran up through the woods and I was so worried her leash would get tangled up in the heavy woods. Later I was driving around and pulled off the ride going down to the river. Instead of leaving my Jeep at my site to save time. He put a warning on my Jeep about not parking there. I felt this was entirely in appropriate knowing that I was out desperately looking for my dog. I had words with him over it and he called the rangers on me and tried to act like I had trashed my campsite. I told him we had had NO time to clean up yet.! I have been camping at the Buffalo River for 55 years!!! Even before if was a National river. Never in that time have I ever encountered such a rude person. Especially someone who is suppose to be there to help the campers and be a good steward. It was a horrific upsetting situation that they made exponentially worse by there lack of compassion for our situation. My pup did not return that night. The next day a sweet ranger named Gidget I believe, spotted my dog Sydney and sat with her with water and treats until they could get a hold of me. THIS is how a true servant behaves. She was selfless in the heat to keep an watchful eye on her not approaching to make sure not to spook her again. I was reunited with Sydney because of her. We were suppose to be there a week, and left early

Buffalo Point Campground is a great campground. The river close by and is awesome. It's beautiful. I been going for 34 years...it's my happy place. Looking forward to many more trips!!!

The park is nice as always, but needs some improvement, the fire rings are pretty worn out, also a ranger left a note saying to put our fires out before we leave and they poured water all over it. We hadn't had a fire since the night beforeand this was 2:30 the next afternoon when we left for the beach at 2. So wasn't sure what that was about. Also a holiday week/ weekend camping you think the grass between sites would have been cut. Otherwise we like the park and camp there yearly when we can get in.

Nice site. The RV length restriction listed was not entirely accurate. We easily put a 32 ft in the space and it could have been a little longer. However- It required a LOT of leveling and may require parking your vehicle several yards away in the public Bathroom parking area. Shady!

Beautiful campground. We loved being so close to the river.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
