Lakeview Park Campground, AR
Lakeview Park Campground in Baxter County is located 2 hrs 10 min southeast of Springfield, MO with an elevation of 742 feet. There are a total of 72 campsites including 70 boat sites. The campground is open all year. Sites can accommodate RVs between 22 and 42 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. 70 sites have electric and water hookups. 1 site has electric hookups. Fees range from $21.00 to $54.00. Some amenities include shower, playground, swimming, marina. Activities include boating, fishing, hiking trails, floating sports.

Mainly there to do some hiking in the areas south of the campground. The Indian Rock House is an excellent trail to hit.

The weather was rotten. cold. wet, windy. The campground was beautiful and the shower/bath house for Band C loop looked new and clean. There was no one at the office when we got there a little after 4 ( I can't blame them for not hanging out and waiting to see if we were going to show up) There was not a campground map posted nor was there a box of folded maps that you often see at campgrounds. This was a problem for me because I am a man and I refuse to ask for directions except as a last resort. The internet map on my phone was just a crude approximation and that added to my confusion. Also signage was very minimal...not normally a problem except for the odd 4 way intersection which an hour later we figured out led to the B loop. I think most 1st time visitors would have a similar problem but once I figured it out it was simple. Most intelligent people will find the place to be lovely, but stubborn old coots like me may have a hard time.

Great campground. Quiet, level sites. We had 50A Water was on site but off for the season in area B. Plenty of room for our 40" DP and Jeep. Great lake views. Host was very nice.

a day w/ thunderstorm, high winds etc.. at the Lakeview Campground are still better than any day at work. A good storm with lingering clouds makes for the best sunsets over the dam.

I didnt get to camp at Lakeview Park. It was closed due to road repair. I did receive an email, but I only check my email sporadically since retiring. Luckily, I checked it as my son was hooking up the camper to pull out just to get an address for the GPS. Thats when I learned the camp was going to close on the 15th and it didnt make sense to pull the camper over and set it up for just one night. Next time, I would hope to get a phone call because Im sure they were notified in plenty of time by the road department. In addition, this information should have been on the website and I wouldnt have booked it and missed my vacation.

Reserved a spot months earlier. Drove over 3 hours to get here only to spend 1 night before the camp host tells us we all have to leave because the park is closing to get the roads repaved. They claimed emails were sent. We were never notified. Ended up at Oakland park. It was a better camp.

We were there in September and it was very quiet and peaceful. Our first trip to Bull Shoals and didnt know anything about where to stay so we picked Lakeview and it was very clean and very enjoyable. Will definitely go back there again!

We loved our stay at the park! It was clean and well maintained. We had beautiful views from our site of Bull Shoals Lake and the dam. The walk to the swimming beach and boat launch was just minutes away. I would recommend this peaceful location to anyone.

This was our 2nd time staying here. The park is so clean (grounds, bathrooms, boat launch) & people are very friendly. Such a positive & fun experience.

Its a nice campground and the only problem I had was the mowers mowing around our campsite within feet of children and vehicles. rocks are plentiful on this campground and it shocked me hearing the sound of mowers hitting rocks feet from our vehicles and campers. I mentioned this to a mower and his response was to keep the kids in the camper! We were eating lunch when they showed up in force! This absolutely cannot be safe.

My Husband and I have a blended family including 10 children and 30 grandchildren. We all love to go camping at Lakeview. Most of us work so we usually go on the summer holidays. We have been going every year for several years now and we love it. Lakeview is such a peaceful place, and the rangers are so nice. It is a very safe place for the whole family. Most of the campsites have beautiful shade trees and it is kept clean. We have so much fun camping and making memories. Also, Lakeview Marina rents boats, jet skis, and other equipment. We are always excited for our summer trips to Lakeview.

Our last campground on a 14 week trip. The best from the standpoint that the restroom shower buildings were air conditioned. What a wonderful experience. This was our most Northern campground. Nothing South of this had good ventilation let alone A/C. All parks were USACE campgrounds. Some real poor un-customer oriented managers in these parks. Plus the blonde lady who cleaned the bathrooms should be applauded. Out of the 10 USACE campgrounds we camped at, the wonderful blonde lady did the best job to keep the restrooms clean and sanitary. Sightseeing: visit Dam Visitors center NW end of dam.

This is a beautiful park/campground. Overlooks the lake and marina. The sites are well maintained and not crowded together. The Staff are always friendly and helpful.
