Bandy Creek Campground is part of Big South Fork National River & Recreation Area in Tennessee (1 hr 30 min northeast of Cookeville, TN) with an elevation of 1,562 feet. There are a total of 144 campsites including 37 tent-only sites. The campground is open all year. 107 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 25 and 73 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. 95 sites have electric and water hookups. Fees range from $20.00 to $125.00. Some amenities include shower, drinking water, dump station, accessible, playground, swimming, restroom, trash dumpster, amphitheater, flush toilets. Activities include biking, fishing, horseback riding, hiking trails, floating sports.

Nice camp sites and good hiking trails in the park. Anything having to do with water sucks-you have to zip tie the water pump ON at each camp site, multiple knobs and shower heads broken in bathrooms, cant turn water hose on at dump station. Poor signage on trails.

Our sit was beautiful, just needed some backfill on the back side of our site. Site was large enough for our 38 ft camper, but no parking. The area is very beautiful!

These sites are well-maintained and awesome. Some of the farmstead that connect directly to the campsites make for amazing hikes.

Very nice campground. We camped iduring off season so it was very quiet and private. Shower houses were very clean, warm and had great hot showers. Campsites clean and tidy (kind of close together whos would be great if you had a few friends camping too) . Will definitely return in the future

Great place to stay. However, disappointed that there was no bear box at our campsite. I thought they all had bear boxes. The last time I was there, I saw a bear on my way into the campground, and there were reports of bears in the actual campground. It should be a priority to have a bear box at all campgrounds. Not everyone has a hard sided camper. I was sleeping in my tent and also my SUV.

Every time I visit and stay the bathrooms are so clean I never ever have had a bad experience there! Will tell all my friends and family about this place!My only complaint is the hunting out there has gone from bad to really bad!

This was our first visit to the Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area. It is a wonderful park and we look forward to returning for another visit. We camped at Bandy Creek in Loop D. This is am excellent campground with great sites and very good restrooms. Even during this off season the Camp Store was open at the Bandy Creek visitor's center. The store is located at horse stables. You can even buy wood and ice after hours with cash or Venmo on the honor system. The firewood was excellent straight grain oak that was dry and split easy. We hiked several trails and for the most part they were all well marked. With thick leaf deposits covering parts of the trails we only got off the path a couple of times. I would download trail maps (we used Apple maps) to your phone as cell service was limited in some areas.

The campground was great! Water and bath house were conveniently located and easy to get to. The rangers were knowledgeable and helpful.The trail from Leatherwood Ford to O&W bridge was really nice. I definitely want to come back again.

Fall is my favorite season to be outdoors. Weather watching is a must and being adequately prepared for changing conditions is essential. Found the campground to be well maintained, clean showers and bathrooms are heated and well lit. Friendly and helpful staff. A relaxing few days of quiet time following this crazy election.
