Lovely, quiet place with terrific hosts, Mark and Nancy and a great co-host in Brent. Convenient to Shark Valley and other spots. Loved it.

Burns Lake is a beautiful, off-the-grid camping spot. It's close to some awesome kayaking areas. The mosquitoes can be pretty killer...

We loved this campground even though there were no services. Beautiful spot on the lake, quiet and convenient to other destinations. Loved walking around the small lake. We would visit again.

Awesome campground and the camp host was so friendly and informative and helpful!

I was expecting a fairly primitive experience, but this was basically back country camping. The road to access the campground was not much better than a logging road.

Needed a site for one night for our trip from Key West to St. Pete. This was perfect. Quiet, easy to reach.

Lovely little campground around lake, lots of space and easy access

Burns Lake never disappoints, it's beautiful & it is quiet. The only problem that I noticed there on my last visit, and I have NEVER seen this before, people are now (obviously allowed to) camp with their smaller camping rigs in the TENTS only sites. TENTS only should mean TENTS only. These larger & heavier rigs are tearing up the ground, making the grass turn to dirt & mud.

My visit was excellent. The facilities were kept very clean.

Closest dump sites are west at the game check at Dona Drive and east at Midway cg. All was good.

The heavy rains resulted in most of campsite being under water! I was in RV 06

Very happy with my stay at Burns Lake. Used as a base camp for 4 days of Everglades adventures. Camp hosts were attentive and kept things orderly. Will go again.

A very nice out of the way campground. Water is extremely clear as it is in the Everglades. Camp Host was excellent. Campground was a little louder than expected, however it was New Years Eve.. So I accepted that. Otherwise. I will absolutely return. I would appreciate better cell reception however, I am a full time RVer and require it for work.

Very nice stay. We had a spot for 2 weeks in the RV area. No issues with anyone. Peaceful, quiet, friendly. Perfect stay for an off-the-grid vacation. *This is not a reflection of the campsite but be aware cell service is limited at best!*

This was wonderful!! The campsite was so peaceful. The nature was so beautiful. We didnt see any gators but we for sure heard them! Only advice would be to bring wood. There is a lot of things you can do around the area as well.

Ground was a little soggy, but we did have heavy rains a few days before, so just be aware of the weather before you arrive. Mosquitos were VERY active, and even more so at dusk, so be aware of them when planning, and deciding what time of year to visit. Toilets were clean, no smell. Good sized fire ring. Picnic table in good condition and large sized. The host (person supervising the park) was great. Very friendly and helpful. Park was mostly quiet at night, only had my neighbour at the plot next to me arrive at 1am to a bit of a racquet, but that died down soon enough. Other than that, VERY quiet.

Pull through sites side by side on north side on a man-made lake. Clean pit toilet.

I wasn't aware of the "quiet time " rule. At around 11pm the campground management knocked on my rv door, very sharply. I was informed that I couldn't run my generator after 10pm. I apologized and told them I wasn't aware of the rule. I then explained I sleep using a CPAP, I suffer from severe sleep apnea. They informed me it was a rule no exception. If I didn't shut it off they would contact law enforcement. I continued to run the generator for a short time after the encounter. I eventually turned off the generator. Law enforcement did arrive but the generator was off when they arrived. I had a sleepless night and suffered from extreme fatigue the following day. I understand a policy should be followed, but there should be some considerations in certain circumstances. I was very disappointed in the tyrannical attitude of the campground management.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
