Some strange activities around host camping sites. Not sure how to describe it but seemed a bit out of the ordinary.

Great camping spots. Many trees and plenty of firewood to gather. Very clean bathrooms & showers.

Site 18. Cell service is good. If you have any kind of camper longer than 18ft you wont fit. Getting in and out is not easy. The parking area is right at the camp site, which was fine as nobody was parked down there, but if there were cars it would be close to impossible to back the camper in to the spot. Electric at site. No water at site. Dump area worked well and easy to access. Decent swimming area. Boat launch area was decent as well. Everyone was kind, helpful and pretty quiet after 10. Showers were hot and fairly good water pressure. Overall a nice campground, very clean and looked well kept. Not too busy even at the boat launch area. Park rangers came around regularly and were friendly.

Love the camping grounds here and the people are very friendly and will most definitely be back for years to come.

We prefer this campground over others on the lake. Its quiet and sites are spaced out more than other campgrounds. The boat ramp is definitely less busy that most.

Most camp sites were tough to get into with our 33 bumper pull. Also, this park is obviously low on the priority list of places to maintain. Most of the campers in here looked like long term residents. The cam0 hosts were very nice and friendly, but this is the first place Ive been to where the host sire had 3 campers and several tents on it. Im used to my older camper being the least desirable one in the park. In this place, it was one of the best.

Nice shady, roomy sites. Restrooms are very clean and well maintained. The restrooms at War Eagle are so much better than a lot of the other Corp parks on Beaver Lake. Campground host is great. Good fishing on the White and War Eagle rivers. A great place to relax and unwind. We wish they stayed open later into the fall when the weather is a bit cooler, and the leaves are changing. This campground currently closes in mid-September.

Didnt realize sites didnt have water at each site so had to fill tank and run onboard pump for 3 days. Host was excellent, park had some recent storm damage with lots of limbs down to clean up.

The park is beautiful and the showers are great! We enjoyed our stay very much, especially when a beaver came to our site to check us out!!

Very nice campground, clean restrooms, hot showers, beautiful surroundings. Quiet neighborhood and fellow campers were all quiet and respectful.

This site does not have close lake access unfortunately. It is tucked away in the woods on top of a steep hill that you will have hike to get to the swimming area. The swimming area had very low water and a smell. The beach was littered with trash. The showers are phenomenal, hot water and clean restrooms inside, but are a good distance away.

We just got back from a sister’s reunion (there are 4 of us). We stayed at War Eagle Campground and couldn’t have picked a better place. The cliffs are kind of scary from a couple of the campsites (pictures on website were misleading), but we had a wonderful time! We will definitely return.

I lived in northwest Arkansas my whole life never seen so many ticks ever till I stayed at this campground. Doesn't help that they hadn't mowed. You would think they mow before the weekend.

Nice little CoE park on a bluff overlooking Beaver Lake. Lots of sites would work for our 22’ van. We liked being at the top of the campground in site 25. Site 24 might have a better view of the lake. Some sites might be hard for bigger rigs. There are vault toilets on the outskirts of the campground, with very nice clean bath house near the entry. Camp host was very friendly and helpful and is on-site for possible issues. Caution - Don’t confuse it with private Camp War Eagle across the lake, but 45 minutes away!

The campground was nice and quite with very pretty scenery. BUT the swimming area was basically non-existent. Maybe the water level was higher than normal but to the side of the swim area and marina was what appeared to be a marine junkyard. Old dilapidated boats, parts of boats and rusted hills stacked at the end of what appeared to be a parking lot/boat ramp. Not sure what was going on there but the water all around had a sheen to it-like oil was seeping in. Would NOT have swam or allowed any loved ones to swim there. Also, the site we reserved, no. 14, was supposed to be acceptable for trailer or tent. Our son came with grandson for one night and we’re going to pitch a tent by our trailer…. No tent pad… luckily the site next to us was open do we rented it for them. Our site was extremely small which was ok with us with one exception… the fire ring was probably less than 10 feet from our camper. Not exactly safe. Lastly, good luck backing into any of the sites. You will need to bring some extra patience. The sites all have this odd little hook just as you go to back in. No reason for it but it’s there and just enough to mess with backing in.

Our stay was wonderful. Had to change spots due to lot was extremely uneven to level our camper. The host was very nice and allowed us to move to a better spot. Loved all the deer. Very clean and maintained except for the uneven spots. Will be back next year.

The bathrooms were super clean with a large tile shower. The two sites we stayed in were large and grassy but most of the sites were smaller because of the slope down to the lake. The playground consisted of two swings and a bouncy elephant. The worst thing was the swimming area which had never been cleaned up from high water so it had debris and sticks in the water.

Beautiful site! The lady at the check in station was super friendly and informative. Just an over all wonderful experience.

Was pretty disappointed that after the 1st day all the swim areas were closed. So my fiances siblings couldn't even swim really on their very 1st camping trip. But also the water was fairly disgusting from debris so 🤷🏻‍♀️
@MistyT1187225 · Camped on Jun 17, 2022 at Campsite #20
Friendly staff.Site was a little tight no tent pad, our tent was too big for the site so we couldn't use fire ring due to tent being up against it.
@MistyT1187225 · Camped on Jun 17, 2022 at Campsite #19
Staff was friendly. No tent pad had to set up in driveway. The smell of sewer was really bad due to heat and humidity. Swim beach closed due to high water. Boaters coming from boat ramp stopped on road in front of our camp site and dumped 2 Gars because they didn't want them.

Nice place but sights are a little small
@GlendaM8061018 · Camped on May 24, 2022 at Campsite #8
The only downside was a man was in the ladies shower house looking over the shower door. When asked if it was the women’s, he turned and left making excuses why he was in there. Reported to the front check in station.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
