We initially had a great time at this campground. We loved all the trees and beautiful water views. The beach leaves a little to be desired, it was very rocky and hard to access. The campsites had ample space between them and are not on top of one another. What made this trip memorable and not quite as enjoyable, was the tornado that came through the campground on Saturday night of our stay. This was at no fault of the campground, but it was a definite set back. Trees were down all over the place, electric was off, no internet. Fortunately, no one in our party was injured, our camper was spared and we still had running water. The campground was going to close for a while to clean up all the storm damage. But, tornado or not, we would stay here again.

We happened to be there when the tornado struck on Sunday May 26, 2024. We were lucky. Others were not. I would like to see trash cans throughout the campground, not just at the bathroom and dump station. Also would be much better if hose at dump station had male garden hose end to attach to the RV. Thanks

The bathrooms were nasty for several days. Black mold in shower area. Someone needs to clean and inspect to make sure the workers are doing what they are paid to do.

We enjoyed our time at Prairie Creek. It was a great base camp to go explore all the bike trails around the Bentonville area. Originally, we were in Site 86. The problem with several of the sites in the immediate vicinity (85, 86, 89) were that the picnic table was on the driver's sideof the RV/Trailer/Etc. So when we sat under our awning in Site 86, we were about 20' away from the picnic table for Site 89. Our picnic table was on the opposite side of our trailer with no shelter. And if we did use it, we would be not that far away from the folks in 85 if they were on their awning side. I know this sounds convoluted but we enjoy our space and try to respect the space of others in the campground. After 2 nights in Site 86, we moved to Site 25 which did NOT have the misplaced picnic table situation. The remaining 5 nights of our stay were great! Also Site 25 was very close to the shower house which was a nice thing!

The park is well groomed and maintained. We have stayed at many Corp of Engineers parks and this was one of the best. There is also a lot to do in Rogers and Bentonville. We will definitely go back.

We stayed at Prairie Creek while attending a music festival in Bentonville. Site with view of water was nice. There is a short trail we hiked that was nice. Shower facilities were clean. Nice park area, but wouldn't recommend on busy summer weekend due to large marina on the lake. Boat noise would detract from experience.

Loved the area and the campsite was perfect.

We love Prairie Creek. Beautiful campground. We were in site 12 which is a double space. We were alone so we had plenty of room. That space would be perfect for 2 Rvs camping together .

Quiet and in the woods but only minutes from the attractions of Rogers, Bentonville, Fayetteville and more. Clean restrooms. Great camp sites for travel trailers.

Beautiful, spacious park. Very quiet and easy access to Rogers, War Eagle Mill, and Hobbs. Great hiking / biking at Hobbs.

Site 80 was Awesome. That is the example of how nice the park could be

Traveling in a motor home. First time at this park. Park clean and well kept. Paved roads through out the park. Very hilly and steep roads trying to find our campsite. A few hills will need all the power to get up that you have. Camp site was clean and paved but pavement was crumbling. Did Not use the bath facilities so no comment on that.Had electric and water hook ups, dump station located outside the check in gate.Quite area in the woods but very hilly. Campground spread out in large area with different sections among the hills. Large picnic area with a swim beach near a marina.Would stay here again.

Awesome view and plenty of space between campers. Easy to maneuver in the space. And it was quiet!

Its a nice enough place and the facilities were great. - but inconsiderate neighbours made the experience a pretty average one.

We had a wonderful site in a very beautiful setting, and enjoyed our stay.

Overall nice campground and facilities. Lake, playground, showers, boat ramp, marina... all good.I'd give 4.5 stars if they had sewer hook ups at the sites. My biggest negatives are un-level site (#66) and not much room to back into the site without danger of hitting trees or neighboring vehicles.

Great place. Decent size camp spots where we didn't feel like we were right with everyone else, sits in a pretty woodland spot, was quiet in the spring and clean. Has easy access to Rogers, Bentonville and Hobbs State Park. We were there for biking, hiking and enjoying the area in general.Watch out for ticks at least that time of year.

This urban area campground is much used, with lots of fishing tournaments on weekends and recreational boaters. Close to Bentonville and Rogers. Pea Ridge Battlefield is not far and is worth a visit. Crystal Bridges museum is outstanding. Downtown Bentonville is very bike friendly, quaint, and fun.

We enjoyed our time in the campground. We were tent camping, but due to availability had to select a site that was more geared to an RV. No designated tent pad. It worked but if we had the option next time would go for a tent site.

Great Location - Good Verizon coverage for hotspot - no wifi

Very pleasant stay. The campground is okay, but a little cramped. Sites are too close together.

This campground is conveniently located to Rogers. We were there to watch the 2024 eclipse and were pleasantly surprised how quiet the campground was both night and day. The bathroom and shower facilities were very clean. Some of the roads and sites in the campground are very steep, so be careful when making a reservation. Site #42 was a perfect for out 19 foot camper, but the driveway to the pad was angled. Site #42 is also next to (and I mean right next to) the sidewalk to the restroom, but it was not an issue.

Prairie Creek is a beautiful campground, albeit very hilly! That was a bit of a surprise. We had a beautiful week there in early April!

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
