The sites are well maintained but most could use some gravel.

We had a wonderful stay. It was great when making a reservation we were able to give our site preferences and a photo was shown.

Selfishly I don't want to share what a beautiful place this is because it is a hidden treasure.

This is a great campground to just get away from it all. There is no cell service which is great to disconnect from everything. You can canoe, kayak and fish without leaving the campground. My only issues are the bathrooms need updated and people where playing music all night along and the campground host did nothing to stop them. We have stayed at willow bay before and at 10 : P.M. the campground host drove around and told everyone to shut off the music because it was quiet time. Other than that it was a great stay.

Beautiful place to stay, the ground was a bit rocky for the tent set up in our spot but we made it work. We saw many beautiful site that had lots of grass. I wish the pictures of each site were a bit better and showed the spot. The washrooms were clean, make sure you bring a light because there is none set up for when it's dark. It was very peaceful. We saw lots of fireflies but little wildlife. We would definitely stay there again.

The campground is very nice. We especially like that the sites are large and grassy. The pads are raised helping with drainage. The bathrooms are clean and large. Our only complaint is the complete lack of cell service. It is difficult when we are unable to be reached at all by family members for our entire stay.

Stayed for a week, rented a cabin, which was nice. Close to the shower house. Seen lots of wildlife. Nice roads for biking.

Willow Bay is very relaxing. It is a short trip to Cuba Cheese in New York. The Zippo/Case store and museum is a must see. So much history. We enjoyed the camp site and being able to walk a large area. The camp host was very nice.

Camped and fished the creek right behind the camp site

We was told we get 2 car passes. Told them my daughter was coming so asked if they could have 2nd pass. They Said yes but when they arrived they made them pay. Same thing happened with another couple we were with. The host you had working (woman) was not very friendly. People would come in and nobody was at the checking booth so they came to our site and she coming running overtaking them drive back up to check in.

There for Solar Eclipse weekend. Checked in at 6pm on Sunday and they had 3 people working the both-all very nice and definitely in the spirit of the weekend. They even provided a huge patch of blue sky for totality-they were the best. Seriously, very nice area, spots are large, osprey nest right behind was a great extra.

Site 62 Hemlock loop is gorgeous!!! Excellent view of the lake, close to the bathrooms & showers and dead level.

Great waterfront setting, and the staff was great too.

We love Willow Bay! The campground is always well-maintained, and the sites are great. We stayed in two different loops this trip (Hemlock & Aspen) due to the sites being booked for the eclipse. When I had questions, and asked to change sites, the couple managing were wonderful! They were patient and helpful, and made our stay so nice. The bathrooms were clean and the showers were hot. An excellent trip. We will definitely be back soon.

Scenic, remote, wonderful hosts and facilities! Highly recommended!
@SarahS3283965 · Camped on Apr 5, 2024 at Campsite #72
Facilities were nice and clean. The campsite itself was a little muddy and we had to rearrange the firepit and picnic table; but nothing unexpected for April after lots of rain. We had 4 adults in 2 tents which was probably the maximum - if we had more adults/tents in the future I would book additional sites to make sure there's enough space/level ground. The lake was absolutely beautiful, the neighbors were all quiet and respectful of each other even though all the sites were reserved for the eclipse, and there were no bears. It was really cool to see people bow fishing in the reservoir at night. The campsite hosts were helpful and friendly. There's zero cell service, but it was a nice opportunity to unplug. We will be back!

This was our 1st time camping at the National Forest and it was beautiful!Willow Bay campground is very clean, our cabin (104), which also comes with the tent site, was clean and very well maintained. We had eagles visit the bay regularly, we saw deer, plenty of other birds and a bobcat on the bridge!!!!!!We were there the last weekend in October and there was barely anyone there (perfect for us). Check in was easy and the people at the park were very kind and helpful! Well absolutely be back

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
