Great time with family and friends. Grandkids had a great time on river. Campground was clean and bathrooms were clean with plenty of hot water and pressure. Already booked sight for week of Thanksgiving.

Pickensville campground is a clean very nice campground. Victoria, the park attendant was wonderful and so helpful. I enjoyed going down to the dam and fishing. We saw lots of wildlife including deer, red fox, racoon. We really enjoy this campground

I was about to leave my campsite today when a man from Corps of Engineers called on my personal cell phone to accuse me of leaving dog poop on top of and around a trash can. It is a lie. I put trash in the trash can as one does. Some unseen person took the trouble to dream up filth about me and report it to COE, where someone at COE found my cell phone number and repeated the lies. I camp to get away from it all. I have no use for some nasty person going to the trouble to find out who I am, what my cell phone number is, and reporting a heap of lies to COE so they would call me to complain. My vacation and my day are ruined. Whoever is being this ugly needs to be fired.

We loved this campground! Our site was on the water and we enjoyed watching the boat traffic and barges. Fun bike ride to the dam spillway! We played pickleball on the marked court. Great place to visit, explore and relax! The bathrooms were clean and the front gate staff were very friendly and helpful.

We stayed in site 108. It is a great spot we love it but wished Pickensville had more hookups. I love riding my bike there because you are in the shade most of the time.

Located on the river with many sites to choose from. Our site 14 was a pull through directly across from bathhouse which was clean but could use updating. Our site was spacious but there are some sites closer together. There are both pull through and back in sites. The sites have picnic tables, fire ring, and poles to hang whatever you choose from it, we put our bucket light on it. The hosts were nice and helpful. We didnt have power at our site to plug up the camper but the hosts made a call to have someone take care of it. A guy came about an hour later figured out the problem, he left to get parts needed which took him a couple of more hours. We did get power just before supper time. Not complaining at all because we arrived around lunchtime and were allowed early check in. Luckily the weather that day wasnt too hot and we just enjoyed hanging outside watching boats and visiting with family and friends.

We love pickensville campground! The camping area is well maintained while keeping the wilderness feel we love. Victoria who is at the gate was so friendly but made her presence known around the campground. She frequently stopped to check on the campers. We cant wait to go back.
@ShirleyB588545 · Camped on May 6, 2024 at Campsite #109
The gate guard, Victoria, was awesome! She need to clone her for all parks. She worked the gate but she also kept the sites cleaned. I think she cares so much about the COEs that lives and breathes that job!!!

Very nice campground we were in site 105. It is a beautiful site. Not 20 feet off the river. Great place for fishing. Wife was a little disappointed as the park ranger wouldnt let her use her metal detector in the park. Go there to camp because there isnt anything close and the internet is nonexistent. We still had a great time

My wife & I had a wonderful 2 week vacation. The gate keeper (Victoria) was very friendly & was the hardest working volunteer I have ever seen. It appeared she was doing all the work. We will go camp there again. This is the friendliest campground we have seen, and we have camped at 43 different places. Our favorite!!!!!!!
@WayneN6557499 · Camped on Apr 18, 2024 at Campsite #136

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
