Dewayne Hayes Campground in Lowndes county is located 1 hr 6 min south of Tupelo, MS with an elevation of 172 feet. There are a total of 108 campsites. The campground is open all year. 98 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 38 and 120 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring. 98 sites have electric and water hookups. Fees range from $20.00 to $30.00. Some amenities include dump station, boat ramp, flush toilets. Activities include boating, fishing, hiking trails, floating sports.

We have a group of friends that meet at Dewayne Hayes for some of the Alabama football games. Injoy the park and always a good time. Like watching the Loopers go down the river. Staff was helpful and friendly.

Park is amazing, gates being locked up at 10pm isn't. If you come home late you will be walking.

Very nice spot, we enjoyed it very much, a good spot for the grandchildren, they also enjoyed the the playground had lots of fun memories! We would go back!

We stayed a couple nights on a cross country journey. Check in was easy and smooth. Sites were well maintained and kept up nicely. We stayed on site 97 which gave us a clear sky for Starlink.

I wish there were more sewage campsites. The bath house was kept clean, which was appreciated. The water pressure in the shower is very good, but the shower heads are too low. I realize this was because when they built the campgrounds people were shorter.

This was such a nice campground! The raod to enter the general area was a bit curvy but it was a great surface. The campground had 2 circles and is laid out very well. The dump station was easy to get at and it allowed us to easily turn around. The concrete pad was very level and very long so that our vehicle could easily fit in the front. The area was lovely and covered with trees. We will do this again.

Love camping at Dwayne Hayes. The sites are spacious and shady. Many sites to choose from. Full hookups available on some sites. Camp host and staff are friendly. Enjoy seeing the barges coming down the Tom Bigbee. Shops are close by if you need anything.

Site was tight and un level. Bathrooms are terrible. Mayflies made it impossible to do anything outside.

This campground was really nice when they had host that lived in the campground and were paid to be there. Now, there is nobody stationed at the guardhouse and anyone can come and go as they please. Not a safe condition for the campground that was once a very secure place. You can also see that the lack of government funding for parks is extremely lacking. Bring back the campground that was once a great place to stay!!

Very quiet campsites. Plenty of room on each site. Close to a Walmart if you forget anything. On return it would be nice to have some of the trees along the bank like sites 73 and 74 so trimmed of foliage so you could see water
