Our campsite was well maintained, the bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Convenient dump facility and water filling area. We had a very nice stay at Blackwoods.

Lovely. Clean. Great restrooms. Good layout. Trails are amazing.

There some D-bag Swiss who tried to get in without a reservation whi tried to make their own laziness the responsibility of the Rangers on duty when they attempted to enter the campground without a reservation. The Rangers on duty were the most professional and patient people I've ever seen. Their demeanor with rude and troublesome people was as inspiring as impressive. Beyond that, the grounds were impeccable as always, the facities were top notch. We will be back.

All the people that work there and the Rangers were so friendly and we had some mishaps, but everybody was on the same page. Everything was explained to us and we had a wonderful time.

Camping area is nice but the washrooms werent as clean as some of the others I have seen in national parks. There was no hand soap which is typically available in other washrooms.

The location is conveniently next to the restrooms and water bubbler. We were able to walk to most of the trails we were looking to hike, only driving to one. We had enough space for two larger tents and still had room for chairs and coolers. I would book this spot again, due to its close proximity to the trail starts and facilities.

Great campground. Our spot felt secluded which is what we like. Bathrooms were just a short walk.

Ive been going to Acadia for over 50 years and staying in Blackwood. Great camp sites settle to many hiking in your areas and lots of activities.

Blackwoods was well organized and easy to locate our campsite. We were pleased with the location as a perfect launchpad for exploring Mt Desert and Acadia. However we were disappointed in the absence of amenities, especially for the cost of our campsite. No available showers or power/water at campsites was really disappointing. Again especially given the cost. These are obviously bonus amenities while camping but they are ones which could be managed for the high cost of camping.

Great campsite!

There should be showers available. State Parks in Georgia have showers the big National Parks should provide showers.

Beautiful wooded grounds and just a short walk to the sea.

Great campground and within walking distance to trails. We actually had enough cell signal to stream.

Beautiful campground that was very well maintained. Very good access to multiple hikes throughout the national park. There are even a few different hikes you can start at trailheads from campground. Only a few minutes walk to the ocean. Short drives to most of the desired areas within the national park. Close proximity to Bar Harbor. Very clean and well kept shower facility right outside the campground. The water was very hot, well worth the small amount of money. Also there is a local campground store 1-2 miles down the road, very convenient. Overall a great experience at the park, very happy we chose to stay at this campground. The campsites themselves were very nice, a large enough pad to fit our large 10 person tent and also a pop-up tent that we put over our picnic table. It gets very dark quickly back in the woods of the campground, and so we hardly noticed our neighbors at all. The walk to each bathhouse was very short. The rangers at the campground were very helpful and friendly.

I love this place

Great campsite with excellent cell coverage. Close to restrooms that were maintained well. Even though the campsites are close to one another, they offer privacy as well. My wife and I arrived after hours but there were maps at the registration office to help us find our site. We enjoyed our stay and would return to this site.

I car camped in 4 different site on Loop A. All spots were clean and came with a fire pit and picnic table. All spots were what I consider to be close to the bathrooms, trash bins, water spigots. I didn't notice mosquitos. From Loop A it is a short walked to the cliffs by the ocean. Personnel are very friendly and helpful. Bathrooms are clean.

Staff was good. Camp sites were close together with mostly mature trees, so not a lot of privacy. No facilities at site, but bath house with showers were clean and dump station was available. Overall, a very nice experience and would stay again.

We came for the camping and hiking and were not disappointed. Beautiful hikes from Pinnacle to carriage trails. So much to choose from depending on your time and temperament.

The hike from Blackwoods up to Cadillac Summit was amazing. We also had a great day riding bikes on the carriage roads, and accessed them easily from Blackwoods.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
