Great access to the park and Springdale, convenient to shuttle so parking is not an issue. The sites are designed so that you dont feel crowded. A major expansion is underway in an adjacent campground.

The campground exceed our expectations. Being so close to the visitor center and the buses was a great convenience. The restrooms were really clean

Perfect camping location. Close to the visitors center (where the shuttles are), Watchman trail, and a beautiful view. Bathrooms are clean and close by (campsite dependent). Good star gazing at night. Only caveat is that It can be windy at times, so make sure your fire is nice and strong

Very nice CG. Bathrooms were clean. Weird in that all the sites were booked, but the CG was only half full. No one around at all for check in. No host. We found our spot, set up and never saw anyone in authority. Great site, beautiful views, loved it.

What a wonderful area - good amount of space. Location cant be beat. The kids loved being able to walk down to the river - some deer even came down to drink and walked within 5 feet from us - our kids loved this. You can also walk to the Visitor center in a few minutes and catch the shuttles all through the park from there. You can also easily walk across the river on the bridge to the brewery, market and other stores. 10 out of 10 experience

Watchman campground is a wonderful place to camp just inside the entrance to Zion National Park. It has campsites that would suit any type, from tents to motor homes. The sites are well maintained and the bathrooms are clean. There are trails close by and a short walk to the visitors center where you can catch the free shuttles.
@DianaS3470890 · Camped on Mar 20, 2025 at Campsite #C9
Our site, C9, was very nice. Would have given a higher rating but overall experience was ruined by the constant barking of a dog and the camp hosts refusal to do anything. Camp hosts shouldnt be allowed to sit in their sound proof rvs and do nothing.

Beautiful and peaceful campground, lovely views and trees all around. So close to everything too.

Heated bathrooms were a pleasant surprise! Pay showers are nearby if needed. Loved the deer in camp and proximity to the visitor's center and canyon shuttle.

Site was good, but a bit confusing upon first arriving. Make sure you take a look at the camp map! Site host was super helpful when someone else parked in our spot. Bathrooms were clean and we liked that there was a dedicated dish washing sink for us to use. We ended up in a share space with five other parking spots, but it worked out nicely. We met some new friends and we appreciated that our picnic space had a covering. We also appreciated being close to the visitor's center and it was nice to have the river near by to play in.

The dump station was a disaster- both flushing water lines were inoperative. Some were using drinking water to flush!With nobody at the check-in station, abuse and campground degradation is likely to increase!

Loved staying at Watchman campground. It was one of the best parts of Zion as it did not feel crowded like everywhere else (Spring break). Bathrooms were clean. Sites spacious. Views amazing. We'll be back - hopefully when it is less crowded!

We drove in and camped in a tent next to our car as a rehearsal before backpacking in the backcountry the next day. The bathroom in our loop was unfortunately closed when I went to use it, but luckily, other bathrooms are available in Springdale. The site was very clean and well-maintained! Views were amazing and access to the watchman trail and visitor's center was perfect! We got firewood and starter from Springdale and roasted hot dogs for dinner while we watched the sunset, and it was gorgeous. Even though Springdale is right across a little bridge, don't let it fool you: things quiet down and darken quite a bit as the night sets in. One of the nicest camping experiences I've had in my life.

Great location close to visitor center and shuttle bus stomp for the canyon and town. Also close to some hikes. Can walk to stores and restaurants or jump on a short shuttle to town. Nice views. Spots are well maintained with fire rings, close together but not any worse than most large national park main campgrounds. Bathrooms are a bit dated. Highly recommended.
@KayA61E1140BD1 · Camped on Mar 18, 2025 at Campsite #B43
We loved the location of this campground. Close to the shuttle stop and visitor center. Bathrooms were clean. Campground was mostly full but quiet!
@ZacharyF1F48D4 · Camped on Mar 17, 2025 at Campsite #A10
Its in the best location, plenty of room at each campsite, the bathrooms are clean and the area to wash dishes is a huge plus. I will be staying here again

If you're staying at Watchman Campground in Zion Canyon, I highly recommend getting a permit for Angels Landingit's an unforgettable experience. Also, don't miss out on the Canyon Overlook Trail and the epic Rock Trail. Both are absolutely worth it!

Thanks to all our Supporting Members

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
