Can't wait to come back and camp here again! The South campground was about a 0.5-mile walk to an awesome brewpub to get a beer after a long day of hiking. There was a water fill and dump station, restrooms, and a less than 10-minute walk to the closest shuttle stop at the visitor center. Spectacular views all around and friendly people all staying at the campsite

We were in site 76 with a class b camper van. This was a great location for a short walk to the visitor center, shuttle stop, and gear rental right outside the entrance gate. The trail along the river does go right by this site, but we didnt find that to be a problem at all. The view is absolutely lovely and we really enjoyed the sunrise as it lights up the 180 degree view of the cliffs. Only slight inconvenience was this sight is not very level. The back of the spot is quite a bit lower than the front. We hiked the upper emerald pool and 3 miles into the narrows. If you can, do the narrows. It really is spectacular! I recommend going for renting waders both for the cold water, but also because the water boots they provide get really good grip on the wet rocks.

Camping spot was not very level and a wash rut went through it.

I chose the 124 South Campground spot and it was perfect. We were right at the exit, however, the signage was a bit confusing to get to this unique spot. Thankfully, the handout helped us find it easier. The closeness to the restrooms and exit was a plus. It was moderately clean and the trash truck came on a Monday so no trash was left long. We had a cozy, leveled parking spot for our camper/RV and a clean area for us. There was also a clean fire pit we got to use every night for smores! Will definitely come back and reserve again.

Beautiful location. Sad that irrigation has been diverted away from the campground, leaving trees to die and the campground to go "fallow". Sure hope that the promise of a new, improved campground comes to fruition.

The campground had beautiful views of the cliffs, and especially the night sky! It was clean, everyone was friendly, and it was quiet at night. Really lovely experience!

We had a great stay. Nice campsite conveniently located in Zion National Park, and great having a flush toilet and faucets.

A nice and affordable campsite with a great view - CG 114 is right next to the water station and restrooms. You can hear the lake from this spot - its beautiful. Be aware that there is no shade and half the campground is still closed due to rehabilitation work. Restrooms could be cleaner; the locks in the mens restrooms arent closing properly and there is no way to dry off your hands.Rangers are very nice and helpful, just like anyone in / near Springdale.Campfires are allowed!

We utilized South Campground in order to get parking for the Narrow the next morning. We now are planning on coming back next year and staying for a few days in order to truly embrace all Zion has to offer. But as a starting point of our vacation, it was perfect!

We stayed 3 days in this campground on 3 different sites 80 which is near to river good location and 97 .No privacy ,sites are super closed to each other . good thing about this campground you get shuttle access that makes your life easy to explore NP easily.

We had a great time, the bike paths at Zion are fantastic. Highly recommend campers bring your bikes. I hope the park starts working on removing the dead trees at South Campground. It is a real shame that half of the camp ground is sitting empty due to dead trees. The Park is missing out and the campers are missing out on not having all of the sites that are available open. We will return Zion is a beautiful place.

There for the night. Weather was perfect. Could also hear the wind blow and the river run.

Great site. Has everything you need. There are deer in the morning munching on the foliage.

Great campground. Very conveniently located - less than a 5 minute walk to the visitor centre. Staff was super friendly.

The campground was kept clean. With the picnic table and fire pit, and the restroom closeby, very convenient. Not too far of a walk from the visitor center and the shuttle bus station. And the river runs by the campsite, and you can go for a dip if you are good with the icy cold water.

This is a nice campground nestled right in the canyon! My partner and I spent 1 night in the campground at the end of September. Pretty easy 5-7 minute walk to the Visitor Center which is where we caught the shuttles that took visitors to different trailheads. The one caveat that we ran into is that it was EXTREMELY windy during the night time. Very hard to sleep... Not sure if this is a unique instance or if this is a common thing at this campground. Besides that it was great!

Beware the wind.Originally planned to tent camp for three nights but we only stayed for one. There is very little shade at the campground with some sites having none (such as ours). The ground is very hard and rocky, making it difficult to get tent stakes into the ground.What caused us to leave, however, is the absolutely brutal wind that came at night and blew well into the morning. It sounded like our tents were being torn apart. It's no wonder most people were in camper vans. In hindsight, the canyon becoming a giant wind tunnel at night makes sense. However, because tent camping was clearly not as popular, it's difficult to come across mention of the wind in reviews or discussions unless you're looking for it already.

We spent three nights in 83 and one in 101. Both were excellent. The website photos didn't do them justice.

@BranJen - Santa Clara, CA

I wanted to thank you for this site and especially for the notifications feature. Thanks to your site and my subscription I was able to book a campsite I've been annoyingly trying to book for 5 years unsuccessfully. So thank you.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
