Campgrounds Available This Weekend Near Sheboygan, WI
Sheboygan, located along Lake Michigan, provides several excellent camping opportunities. Kohler-Andrae State Park, just south of the city, offers lakeside camping with sand dunes and hiking trails. Point Beach State Forest, further north, provides secluded camping along the lakeshore. Kettle Moraine State Forest – Northern Unit, to the west, has scenic campsites with hiking and biking trails. High Cliff State Park, located near Lake Winnebago, offers camping with beautiful lake views. Peninsula State Park, in Door County, is a fantastic option for scenic camping near Green Bay.
Peterson Bridge Campground is located in the Cadillac Ranger District, Huron-Manistee National Forest (55 min south of Traverse City, MI) with an elevation of 805 feet. There are a total of 31 campsites including 13 tent-only sites. The campground is normally open from the end of April to mid October. 18 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 38 and 64 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. Prices start at $25.00 per night. Some amenities include swimming, flush toilets.
Seaton Creek Campground is located in the Cadillac Ranger District, Huron-Manistee National Forest (51 min southwest of Traverse City, MI) with an elevation of 872 feet. There are a total of 19 campsites including 2 tent-only sites. The campground is normally open from the end of April to mid October. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring. Fees range from $22.00 to $52.00.
Platte River Campground in Benzie County is located 47 min west of Traverse City, MI with an elevation of 603 feet. There are a total of 171 campsites including 29 tent-only sites. The campground is open all year. 141 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 15 and 40 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring. 90 sites have electric hookups. Fees range from $22.00 to $50.00. Some amenities include shower, drinking water, dump station, restroom, amphitheater, flush toilets. Activities include hiking trails.
Dunewood Campground in Porter County is located just 15 min west of Michigan City, IN with an elevation of 624 feet. There are a total of 66 campsites including 13 tent-only sites. The campground is normally open from the beginning of April to the beginning of November. 53 sites can accommodate RVs and trailers between 26 and 99 feet. All sites are currently reservable. Reservations can be booked up to 6 months in advance. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring with grill. Prices start at $25.00 per night. Some amenities include shower, drinking water, restroom, trash dumpster, amphitheater, flush toilets.
